Taking a team in which many thought would not even have a winning record this season to being one game out of leading the divison the same divison in which one of the teams went 16-0 just last season. Also the dolphins are currently rank 8th in the league in offence just last season they were ranked near the bottom of the league and closed the season with a 1-15 record.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woot:All hale Bill Parcell:woot:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He'll have tough competition from Mike Smith at ATL and Harbaugh in Balt, but I'm all for Sparano!! If we can get into the playoffs he has a shot.

^Yeah, those too but I think Jeff Fisher has it locked up already.

Atlanta maybe. Baltimore is going to lose at least two maybe three more games this season. And IMO barely miss the playoffs.

No doubt Sparano should be in the running. He turned a 1-15 team into a potential playoff team. Amazing!!!!

Also wouldn't be surprised if Chad Pennington is up for MVP. There isn't a player in the league that has been more valuable to their team.

Chad should definately be up for MVP.
The only problem is thats not how the voter's see it. The award is designed for the person who is "the most valuable" or in other words, the person who if you took away would have the most detrimental effect.

Unforunately it is just voted every year as who has the best offensive numbers.

Real MVP consideration should be given to (in no particular order)
Chad P
Albert Hanynesworth
Andre Johnson
Drew Brees
AP
Polamalu
Kris Jenkins

The winner will end up being probably Warner or Brees whichever have the best numbers. Now if either go on to break Marino's season record for yards, they are probably deserving.

Agreed. Stats shouldn't be the reason someone is voted MVP. Take Pennington away from this team and we're not in the playoff hunt.

If Sparano gets to the playoffs, i'll have a hard time believing that they wont give him COTY award.
