Ok. I have come to an em pass. I keep coming onto the site and almost instantly get frustrated due to the fact that half of the threads on the boards are usually titled something ridiculous in regards to some sort of prediction that not even the experts capable of making and being correct 100% of the time. The posts usually say something like... "My grandma had a dream last night while sleeping on my Dolphins bed sheets that we won the Super Bowl and went undefeated 3 seasons in a row. So I'm here to be the first to call it. Watch it happen and remember it was me who told you." or something along those lines.
Then you have the guys who quote their sister's, best friend's, cousin's, assistant manager who went to High School with Bill Parcells, and they have received some top secret tidbit that usually deals with whatever the hot topic at the moment may be, something that apparently, may have slipped through the cracks of the NFL insiders that happen to actually have direct lines of communication with the owners, GM's and most players.
So as you may have gathered from the preceding, I am calling for a halt to these ridiculous threads/posts and I hope we can all gather our senses and avoid becoming any worse of a fan base. You have to realize, perception is reality, and when a fan of another team comes on the site and reads some of these posts, if it just happens to be their first or second post, they're just gonna run away laughing. I would like to be considered a fan base that has die-hard fans, extensive football knowledge and simple common sense.
No more Football Horoscopes, please!
