I've had and heard enough, we might as well get this thread started. Enough people want it, why not?

The idea isn't to not play Joey, he's done well enough. The idea is should we 1. find out what Lemon can do? and 2. Not turn the 6th rounder into a 5th that we gave up for Joey.

Let the fighting begin.

I"m not going to fight about it.
I'll give my opinion that this is an absurd idea and move on.

You all can argue about it all you want.

I guess it couldn't hurt to give him a shot. I wouldn't be opposed to it. Again i'll say.. it doesn't really matter to me who starts at qb this year.

:shakeno: these threads just get worse after every loss:shakeno:

Take a shot.

Why not? Our offense needs the practice (and that's what they are doing this year, the players that survive until next year) with a mobile QB. This figures that perhaps Daunte will be back.

What is wrong with this thread? If I was coach I would give leo a shot to see what he has got, why not?

Can't get any worse IMO. We are already rock bottom.
Give the kid a shot.

I have no issue with starting Lemon at some point, but it's too early now. There are no assurances that Culpepper will return to pre-2005 form, so they owe it to themselves to give Harrington a sufficient amount of starts to show whether he can be the answer in this offense or whether he'll never be any better than he is.

If they want to give Lemon a few starts at the end of the year, fine. The difference in value between a 5th round pick and a 6th is minimal enough, and the success rate minimal enough that to worry about it is a bit ridiculous.

Joey just threw for 414 yards the most by any qb in a game so far this season and you want to replace him with Cleo Lemon the guy that couldn't even manage a starting job in college? Just when you thought you'd seen it all :sidelol:

stats are misleading, harrington was terrible vs the packers.

which is why your not. so what you guys are all saying is you want our coach to send a message to his team that he has totally given up by starting his third string QB? you just dont give up. while it is highly UNLIKELY that this team will win the next 10 straight games, the POSSIBILITY exists, and if our coach says to the team that its over already(which is exactly what he would be doing by starting cleo) he should be fired instantly. you said yourself that joey has done "well enough" so , how can you bench him? the reasons you listed, well, they simply arent good reasons to start someone over someone else when they havent earned the position. you guys all talk about seeing what cleo can do.. dont you think the coaches(the only people that really matter when it comes to these decisions) have "seen what cleo can do" everyday in practice? preseson games? so who do you really want to "see what he can do" the team or the fans? the same fans that say RB is a bust, the same fans that say chambers shouldnt be a #1, the same fans calling ZT overrated etc.. please:shakeno:

Don't get me wrong guys, I'm not for benching Joey, just don't want to see us give up a 5th round pick for him when he may not be here anyway, look at his contract, it has a serious escalation clause that if he gets a lot of playing time he either can demand a trade or gets SERIOUS money which would kill our cap problems.

I'm only saying start Lemon when Joey reaches the amount of playing time required to change the 6th to a 5th. I am NOT saying bench Joey, he's done OK, not great, but OK. Actually I want him to keep playing until that point of changing the 6th to a 5th. We need draft picks, and 5th round will give us a better player than 6th round, obviously.

:rolleyes2 um yeah and a 64.9 QB rating...the worst by him as a Dolphin.

Bluehaze, please get your facts straight before posting bogus information. Lemon was a four-year starter in college. You would be surprised at what he can do.
