be on the tryout guys who are trying to earn a roster spot. I do hope Malone and Lofton make the team, but otherwise, all this criticism of Beck is getting a little ridiculous. Traing camp is what I am looking for. I am excited about the young players in training camp. I really want to see what UDFA offensive linemen Esera, Wilson Parker and Tubbs have in them, as well as the two drafted linemen.
Longshots? Linebackers Miles, Smith and A. Wright. Longer shot "Tuff" Harris.

Let us exercise patience and expect progress.

How did David Sutton do?, at first I heard that he was a very fast and very tall WR who made "unreal" catches..., I'm too high on him, how did he do after first day in the camp?

nice post lee2000, i am really looking forward to training camp to see how some of these guys start to look with pads on and hitting hard. we will have some talent in camp this season all around and a coaching staff organized and ready to maximize potential and put people in position to succeed. i am psyched for this season. hopefully we will see that perhaps some of the players without the flashy 40 times or measureables from the combine are really BALLERS who can play the GAME. i like what randy/cam have done and excited for the future of this team

Cameron likes tight end types who can catch...

I envision Sutton putting on a little more weight and being a real threat as a wr/te. Much like the wr from Virginia wr Fontel Mines, who recently signed with the Bears. Just for your information, Duckworth, the og from Auburn, was cut by Denver. Wonder why?

I must have been out of the loop the last couple days. Who's getting on Beck after less than a week with the playbook in his first mini-camp? That would be pretty pathetic.

Word is that he did look good...

Thanks Lee, but did he look good (at catching skills and running hot routes)?

If he has sub 4.4 speed and is that tall that is a lethal combination if he hones his skills. Miami may have gotten a real sleeper if he can translate improvement in his receiving game to the field, because he poses major matchup problems.

For one, Fox sports...

Fox reported that Beck fumbled a snap and had a ball knocked down at the line of scrimmage. Give me a break. Since when did such information actually become worthy of news from the likes of Fox or ESPN. I consider that more worthy if it happened in a game, but in the words of Iverson, "You talking about practice?" "Practice!".

Beck will be under the Microscope for the rest of his career so he should get used to it-its always going to be Quinn vs Beck-if John has a hair less of a career than Quinn he will be labeled one of the worst picks in Dolphins history even if Ginn has a great career

You may be right, however, ....

Let it be noted that such is media/fan driven and not from the team in the beginning. And you want to be sure that you are comparing apples and oranges. Two different systems with specific goals. Remember you have to compare coaching styles, what the offensive coord. will require of his qb, and how the other parts of the offense fit in.

Key word here is popular (sports writers/fans) view versus informed view (that of the coaching staff/other players involved in that offense).
