An outbreak of Ebola kills the other 31 NFL teams, then we will win by default or the Fishettes(or what ever the hell they call them) start stripping to distract the other team.

I don't think we'll make the playoffs, let alone win the superbowl, this year. But to say something like this is just ridiculous.

I am more optimistic, I say why not us? Personnel wise we are just as good as anybody. Forget last season, which by the way we were in most of those games, most lost by bad QB descisions. We have a big advantage in that noone knows how to scheme us because we haven't shown anything in the preseason. I am going to hold my judgement until atleast 3-4 games into the season. Right now, besides New England and Oakland, we are equal.

Bad joke my man:shakeno:

I am optomistic but a new coach and system takes time....I am hoping we can be like the Carolina Panthers who were 1-15 and then went to the SB soon after this. My main concern is our QB....hopefully Gus will feel like he wont get yanked after one pick and will play with confidence. I saw Gus play in Denver a few times as the Broncos QB and he has had some very nice games...I think he threw it for 475 yards against the Chargers in 1999 or 2000?? Which was an alltime record for most passing yards in a game by Broncos QB, until Plummer surpassed him in a game a few years later. I think the key is cutting down on turnovers.....this keeps our D off the field and gives us a chance.

idk if your saying they are above you or below you but if you think you are less than the raiders your in more trouble than you think if you have anykind of offense you should be able to beat them brady had some one open on almost everyplay and im not sayin a little open but way open screens will kill them you guys find a way to stop moss scoring all day you guys will win too

your recievers have the skill to kick their secondarys *** but their recievers have the same potential i think who ever runs better wins the miami oakland game

and i dont know if its just me but ive been noticing a trend with kollins if you can get into his head he sucks i.e. the second half of last night

and moss dropped a few very catchable passes

I like the players on the team, and Saban has surronded himself with some very good coaches in Houck and Linehan, which is great, especially since he's better known as a defensive coach. I think the team and Saban struggles the first half of this year, like any new head coach, I believe Belicheck was like 5-11 in his first season at New England, but when an above average Qb is brought in, I think the Phins are a playoff team. I think right now the being in Afc East kills the Phins, the Bills/Pats/Jets, are all very good teams, and playoff contenders. It's been said the Afc West is the best division in the AFC by some people, but I don't think so at all, the 4 teams in that division are not better than Bills/Pats/Jets, IMO. The AFC South is a little funny, Leftwich and Carr have tremendous physical ability, but haven't been able to put it all together, in part because of the other offensive players on there team. I think most good teams besides the Pats have a legit #1 wideout, besides the Pats, but Branch will be IMO, a good RB, and an above average Qb, once the Phins can get the above average Qb, they're a playoff team. All the Rivers talk is great, but I believe SD takes a huge cap hit if he's traded, so I think Drew Brees is a much more logical guy to think about getting.

This could quite possibly be the stupid thread I have ever had the displeasure of reading. Worse then all the Ricky and AJ threads by far.

Or Belicheck made adjustments at half-time, and Norv failed to change his gameplan.

it could be that but ive noticed that when kerry gets off his game he stays off in oakland and in new york i think thats why they wanted manning so badly

Manning was the best prospect in the draft, and will be the best Qb to come out of that draft in a few years, IMO. They gave up alot for him, but will be a better team for it. Collins is not a bad Qb, and I think he's very compareable in his inconsistent play to Jake Plummer. Collins fits Norvs offense, and he played bad vs New England in the 2nd half, but New England is the best team in football, so I would not look to far into it.

yeah true... but its been something that has haunted kollins for years not just last night

if plummer throws another 20 int's this season or even close they need to draft a qb or try to get phillip rivers its not like plummer doesnt have weapons
the run game lelie smith he just needs to stop making mistakes easier said than done
