My worry is not PP. It's who is beside PP.
This was what he was drafted for. He is a rare physical package. He was a literal iron man in college. 44 starts and 2,968 snaps at left tackle. The only position he played at Houston. Plug him in at LT and give him a season to prove the faith bestowed upon him was justified.
The things I love about Paul is, he's got vice grips for hands. And he anchors extremely well, when he plants. His weakness is to his inside. I think with experience and more coaching he can be above average.

I liked Paul in the draft last year. I told several people that he was my pick if we failed to get a lineman in round one.
He's huge, has gorilla length arms and is reasonably quick footed. He LOOKS like a prototype OLT... I want to see if he is one.

That’s worse than 23 and 24
He should be fine but I’m probably playing Daniels next to him. Having Paul and a rookie would be frightening
I’m aware of that. Hence the need to add 1 more vet G and draft minimum 1 OT and 1 OG .

Don't worry. Grier has a plan
Right now, Eich is the starting LG. Hopefully, we can make moves in the draft to make Borum, Carman, and Hines expendable. For some reason, I still have a flicker of hope for Ryan Hayes. Braeden Daniels is a complete unknown and is sort of the sleeper among the current OL group.
At LEAST that many, though I have no confidence that Grier will do so.
