The Patrick Paul Evolution

A 50 PFF grade isn't a great sign.

It's early, the only hope I have is that he doesn't take 4 years to turn into a mediocre player like Jackson did.

PFF isn’t end all be all, they can be alright but just watch him it’s clear he’s good. Also tough as he’s playing next to Jones who is bottom tier. Lg and Lt work off each other so having a bad lg can really effect said score. Like he said get a stud lg and line could be really good. Still need an upgrade over Eich on the right as well.

From the eyeball test, he is an ascending player.......

We all expect rookies to come onto the team ready to go and as superstars. Some take awhile. There were many calling Chop Robinson a bust after the first 4 games of the season......yet here we are

Give him time, I like what I see so far

Grier needs to go but it's ironic that his 2024 draft may turn out ok given that Chop, Paul, Wright and Malik all look good.

But he is responsible for the entire roster, and that's a big problem when you look at backup QB, offensive guard, nose tackle, and safety. 5 years after a tank, that's a major problem and a fireable situation.

And 8 new starters on defense and 2 more guards as backups and two tackles and a backup QB and another RB and a new #1 WR, becuase Hill just said it's time for him to go.

Now it seems Paul might have to sit if Armstead and Lamm are a go.

This guy is saying is unacceptable for Paul not to get reps instead of Lamm or Armstead and it illustrates the conondrum beteeen winning games to save your job ( McD and Grier ) vs giving a rookie important game reps to develop and see what he have in Paul.

At this point I don't care if Armstead starts another game or Lamm, I'd rather see the rookies and see what they can bring.

He was good against the Texans in terms of pass protection even though his run blocking wasn't great. The Texans do have the best DE pass rush duo.

It was the right side and the interior OL that got wrecked.
