Saban has said all year that he is starting his best players. I think that this serves two purposes; 1 it shows the players that he has starting that has believes in them and not to second guess themselves, and 2 it sends a message to those that are not starting that they need to improve.

I also think that Saban knows that Frerotte is not the future QB of this team but will not entertain questions about Sage starting to protect Gus confidence. Now that the team is 3-6 and Gus has an injured finger, I think that this gives Saban the perfect excuse to start Sage without trashing Gus's confidence. If Sage sucks and shows absolutely no upside, then when Gus's finger is better he can slide right back into the starting position. :>)

Thought??

Something easily thought out. I wonder what Dolphin team mate hit his finger...LOL.

How about this for a thought....... Give the ball to Brown at the end of the Atlanta game and we win........Do not throw two fade passes into the sun and get a play to Randy and we win vs New England......all of a sudden this team is looking pretty good. It all starts with coaching and like it or not, Saban has blown it twice in as manny weeks.

good thinking could very well happen but i dont think sage is at all as good as gus sadly

You could be correct, but we'll never find out with him sitting on the bench.

Chambers knew the ball was coming to him twice the corner covering didn't, he should have cought one of theose passes (we won't get into the other dropped passes). I would have to agree with you about the Atlanta game.

the first fade pass in the sun was thrown to Booker:fire: :shakeno:

Fine then they both knew the pass was coming, and each dropped one not the coach. :fire: And they both had the advantage over the corner, but neither could take advantage. :shakeno:

I don't believe Chambers was the receiver on both those passes...I could be wrong...but I believe the first one was to Booker...the second to Chambers.

You can't catch what you can't see....and with our receivers...they can't catch what they do see most of the time.

These are just excuses. These receivers make millions of dollars to play a kids game, I don't want to hear about the sun. There are visors they could use to block the sun, there's that black crap they put on their cheeks. They had the advantage of knowing the ball was coming and should have made the catch.

Unless we are talking about the Martian Dolphins who have 25ft tall receivers that can leap across continents and catch a flaming star...I doubt any receiver can catch a ball with the brightest light on earth glaring into their eyes.

:rolleyes2

The point Im was trying to make was that the same play was used twice when the sun was a factor the first time. The ball should have been thrown to Randy atleast once
