I don't want to sound biased within any point given but this is what I can summarize best from the game. The game was a combined from lack of effort, horrible infield, poor offensive line play and lack of effort from the receivers to get open. Poor effort from out secondary again and lack of play making in defense.

Let's cover the quarterback position:

I am not forgiving Dante for some plays but a quarterback can't always be perfect. He made some inaccurate throws but for most of the game he passed well. However there are some things that we must realize, obviously he isn't 100 percent recovered from this injury. I find it encouraging that he is out there playing hard. He couldn't even run away from some defenders, thats how much he isn't recovered from the injury. I thought he played well today except for that interception. However it seems like he's lacking the play making support that he needs and Randy Mcmichael isn't providing that support and neither is Chris Chambers. Another week where Chris and Randy were beaten easy by linebackers and corners which is really dissapointing. Don't blame Dante for our lack of effort but blame it to those who can't even find ways to get open.

Receivers and Tight ends

Our tight end position in a way isn't in trouble but Randy shows up whenever he wants to. He didn't show up for the 2nd consecutive week and he isn't playing like one of the best tight ends in the league. They got passed him easily on blocks and he's speed doesn't allow him to get past some old linebackers with the buffalo bills.

Chris Chambers didn't show up again and put a lack of effort in his plays. His route running wasn't the best and he got beat easily by Buffalos secondary. Marty Booker managed to get open a few times and gave some contribution but Chambers is beggining to look like he didn't made the pro-bowl last year. A spot that I believed was more deserved to other more consistent players. If you look at the game then you would know how much stats lied. Ronnie Brown was going to lead us in Rushing and Receiving today until the bills literally gave chambers the ball in the end of the game without covering him much. If he has another game like this then I would rather see Welker have some more playing time or involved in more plays.

Running Game

Ronnie Brown did well, he almost led the team in Rushing and receiving and put a great effort against a front 8 through most of the game. Since the bills knew they had Dante Pressured and our receivers were getting slapped around.

Offensive Line

Not much to explain here but LT shelton and Vernon Carey played unacceptably horrible. They both got beat so much that isn't even funny. Horrible play as a group.

Defensive Line

Played overall good, didn't give too many runs and managed to play solid within the rotation.

Linebackers

Overall Solid but not outstanding due to the long playing time on the field.

Defensive Back

Horrible and just plain horrible and nothing else to say but the coaching staff could have made an effort to put players in the field that can play.

Coaching:

I don't know who was calling the plays out there in offense but the plays were horrible. I need this guy to leave this organization before he loses another game for us. I also thought it was horrible for Nick Saban to keep our old playbook and letting this monster of a coach to study it. He obviously hasn't studied the effectiveness of the playbook. As far as Nick Saban, he is responsible for whats happening collectively and needs to go out there and replace as many guys who are willing to give it their 100 percent as a team effort.

You are correct about one thing....Mularkey is an AWFUL Offensive coordinator! They way he stops running the ball makes me sick (especially since we Ronnie was running well and Daunte was afwul).

Willis McGahee was running all over them.

Actually I think they held him to less yards than they ever have. He might have had 100 but I'm not sure.

How many times should they run? If they constantly run the box is going to get stacked and they'll get nothign but 3 and out. Brown had around the neighborhood of 20 carries. It's not like they were ever in the lead. QB was supposed to be a strength now, not a liability that caused us to have to run 40 times a game.

DC wasn't horrible, he ran the plays that were given to him...MALARKEY SUCKS!!!!!!!!

The secondary played bad???? I didn't see that, I mean if u wanna talk about the genius who matched up Will Allen against one of the fastest receivers in the league in Lee Evans . . .one on one . . . with no safety help . . . then yea . . .hell I thought it was good by Allen to save the TD, because that was an obvious mismatch . . . Losman having time to throw on that play just added insult to the call. Outside of that call, hell I saw Bell on the blitz, will Allen making more run support tackles, Goodman breaking up passes . . . maybe they weren't perfect, but they were better this week and are going to continue to improve.

Good summary. Thank you for not overreacting. Ive been wanting to give my thoughts on today but was shying away because of all the criticism. However, Id like to add to your thoughts by giving some of my own. Please note that I am very frustrated and think it was an awful game, but those people who are saying saban should go back to LSU or that we are the worst team in football are silly.
OK here goes:
Culpepper looked lost. Blame it on the knee or the o-line but the fact is that he was terrible today. All those sacks werent the lines fault. Daunte sits in the pocket wayyyy too long. Is this because of Mularkeys play calling or the wr's not running good routes? Maybe...but there were several times that I saw recievers open and culepper didnt throw the ball. He also needs to learn to throw the ball away. Im not ready to call for him to be benched yet, but he looked really bad.
The defense wasnt awful. Will Allen took the penalty but those things happen. McGahee ran all over us when he wanted to. Also, is it me or does this defense lack big play ability? I never feel like we might get a pick or cause a fumble. Id like to see someone step up.
The playcalling was very weak. All these dip and dunk passes do nothing. Then culpepper holds onto the ball too long on everything else. No creativity, no chances. Just vanilla and uneffective.
Its hard to take any positives from this. Welker always shows a lot of heart...most other people on this team didnt today.
Bottom Line: Im not ready to send Saban back to LSU or Culpepper to the bench, but we have to get a lot better soon or this seasons gonna be a real long one.

Every aspect of the Miami Dolphins sucked today. It was honestly embarrassing. I am far from a fair weather fan. This is how I saw it.

-Culpepper was horrible all day. He should ride pine. He is slow and can't make any good decisions. That interception in the redzone was unexcusable. I think he forgot what team he was on.

-the play calling is ridiculous. Mularkey is a complete bust so far. The plays called in both games were awful.

-why was the stadium not full? Crowd noise was not a factor. That is pathetic.

-Ronnie could have dominated that game. They started with him and then forgot about him.

-The db's are plain horrible. They have had so many chances to make plays and completely blown it.

-the defence is no longer dominating. where are all these fancy blitzes we were supposed to see? Zach looks slow and never gets to the qb. On one play the running back blocked both Zach and Crowder on a blitz. That is embarrassing.

changes need to be made. J. Allen needs to learn by playing. Harrington needs to get the start so DC can suck it up.

Allen was a half step behind him. He just didn't turn his head and went to break the pass up too early. If he made his move a second later he would have probably made the play.

How many times did we test their secondary deep??????

We haven't thrown a deep ball yet this year. We've thrown a couple sorta long, but no bombs to stretch the D. Linehan may have called too many low percentage deep passes, but the fact that we threw it deep 5-7 times each game kept the defense honest. Mularkey flat out sucks. Bills fans at the bar were giving me hugs because they knew the pain I was experiencing. Ughhh... bad bad day.

buffalo didn't really pass all that much to expose the secondary. But I thought they played fairly well. I felt that the pass interferance call was a miss-call because the pass was uncatchable. We should have ru\an more, plain and simple. Before the game started I had pictures of us running the hell out of the ball and tireing their defense out. I honestly felt this was a game we couldn't lose. Apparently, so did the Dolphins and they played like the game was going to be handed to them.

The team as a whole looked like they were mentally out of the game. That begins w/ the coaching staff. They must not have taken this game very serious and they played like it. But these types of games are where teams make a turnaround. The fins got embarrased today, the city of Miami did. If anyone on that team has pride, then they will recover. There cannot be a single game taken for granted or chalked up as a "freebee". I honestly believe the coaching staff failed us on this one and they failed daunte.
