i know its a long shot for the playoffs, but heres what makes it just about impossible. i think new england plays to win and will win at 1pm. bellesuck is not going to give up the 3rd seed , no way. with a victory they get it. that would leave the cincy late game basically meaningless. cincy will probably lay down and sit the starters early in the game. the only if is , cincy has lost 2 of last 3, and barely beat kc last week. i think they may try and get some momentum.

the other 2 games are toss ups. ravens got the west coast trip. raiders have won 3 out of last 6, with wins against pitt, cincy and denver.
jacksonville really stinks, cleveland has won 3 in a row and are playing with a suicide bomber mentality. theyve thrown the standard gameplan out and are taking risks doing a crazy unconventional style of football. magini doesnt care anymore. i see jax winning in the last secs though, thats our luck.
 
no disrespect dude, but we had our shots and choked the last two weeks. its literally a miracle if we sneak in today.

yeah i know we blew it. i know we have about a 1% shot. i just dont give up until the scoreboard tells me different. the last week is always crazy in nfl, im just going to enjoy our last game. im not getting my hopes up.
 
pathetically enough, it would almost be better to loose just for the draft postion.

particularly in the middle rounds, or even for trading leverage.

Sad, but true. This game will mean nothing once training camp starts. The draft picks will mean everything, especially if there is no CBA. Going 8-8 vs. 7-9 will not help fill the many holes that we have. I still want a win, but there really is a "silver lining" with a loss.
 
Honestly, this team has had chance after chance to lock up a spot and could not come through. Is it possible Miami sneaks in? Sure, there's a chance. Will it happen? Probably not.

i see where ur coming from, but look at it this way. if new england does play to win and they succeed, and the jags and ravens fall and we win, no matter wat cincy does with their players tonight, it will at least make it exciting for us and give us hope.
 
We do only have ourselves to blame, but I think about all the teams that had to lose for the J E T S to have a chance last week. In NJ and the winds are gusting up to 40 mph. Not conducive for any aerial attack and definitely doesn't suit DIRTY at all. Here's to hope despite ourselves we get in. Sorry, I am an optimist at heart....
