Was the most disappointing play i've seen the dolphins show in a long time... It seemed like 4-5 defenders at the point of attack were going in slow motion... none seemed to converge on the cutback hole, and several others overran the play to the outside... I know Taylor's foot was hurting, so i don't blame him too much... but the others? horrible...

That was pretty patheic on their part. I would hate to be a defensive player on that play and walk by Saban.

Taylor usually makes those tackles in the backfield.... Give props to Pittman.

No, i could watch that replay 100 times and i still can't quite figure out what the hell jason taylor was thinking.

Shouldn't that of been taunting on Pittmann (sp?) for raising his finger in the air the last 20 yards??? Kickoff from the 15?

to taunt, you have to really show up another player... by pointing him out or facing him... just being a dumb pea**** and pointing to the sky? not a penalty...

Me neither. He actually looked like he had Pittman square up, then side stepped him and tried to arm tackling. That was more a bad play by Taylor than a good play by Pittman. That is what started the ball rolling that buried us at the end.

It was a good play by Pittman, Taylors momentum was goin in the other dires=ction and Pittman side stepped him. Saban was pissed at Crowder because he was supposed to fill the gap left when Taylor was rushing in and he was no where to be found and whiifed on the tackle.

In the nfl, A DE (especially an all-pro, top 3 DE) is expected to do much more than just contain a play from the outside. I've never seen jason taylor just lose focus. He seems so out of it. like he doesn't even want to play.

JT should have made that play in the backfield. No excuse for a veteran like him to get juked out of his shoes by a rb like Pittman

Yes Taylor should have caught Pittman in the backfield, but Crowder over-ran the play and let Pittman go full speed straight forward.

That really was a farce. Michael Pittman isn't a guy who creates his own openings. He's an aggressive plant and go type and hasn't had any play that feintly resembles that one in his entire career. The defense virtually had to go out of its way to allow it.

Taylor simply overpursued outside because he thought Pittman was going to continue outside and he made a nice cut and run through our heart.
