The problems from the O-Line stem from 1 issue...

DRAFTING.

Every OL they have drafted, with the exception of Jake Long (and possibly Pouncey, time will tell) have all failed.

Donald Thomas
Shawn Murphy
John Jerry

All high picks that failed. If these panned out, the line would be elite. So who is to blame for this? Sparano or Ireland? (I am asking honestly)
 
These are not "high draft picks". Jerry was a third, the others 5th and later. As an individual choice in the 1st round is a 50/50 shot, and every round after has a lower take rate, they are about on target. What is amazing is how often Billicheat hits on his picks.
 
Forget the offensive line misses, I would have cut Nolan Carroll on the field. To get burned the easily and often is beyond pathetic.

Actually what is amazing is how often he doesn't ... It's just they have so many picks it seems like he drafts pretty good

C'mon...they weren't "high" picks...Thomas was a 6th, Murphy was like a 4th, Jerry...yeah he was bad...

Yes I forget how he trades away players and 1st rounders for two 2nds year after year. He is just smarter than all the rest.
 
Don't forget failed high priced free agents, like Smiley and Grove.
 
I just don't like Sparano. I only support him because he's the coach of the Dolphins.

1 number 4 pick...to use as ammo for more picks next season
