Nate Washington indicated Wednesday that he's not excited about the Titans' addition of Randy Moss.

We can't say we blame him. Washington's numbers are likely to go down, particularly when Kenny Britt returns from his hamstring injury. "I don't really think we need him," said Washington just before the move became official Wednesday. "I'm going to speak up and say that we have so many good young guys. ... We aren't individuals ... We have a team goal in mind."

Dude, the guys has not even arrived in Tennesee and there is already a player speaking against the decision. You know forget whereever Moss goes drama follows.
 
Well.... Washington is not happy that he's no longer the #1 WR. Moss hasn't done anything wrong..... yet.
 
the only people that are going to be upset are the people who may have a reduced role. like hartline didnt want him on us, i was listening to cotchery yesterday on wfan, he didnt want him, and now washington. get the trend? all guys who wont have as big of a role.
 
NO NO NO!

The fact that we didn't cut a promising young player to sign a disrespectful, narcissistic, aging, Hall-of-Fame cancer who cries like a little beotch when he doesn't get the ball every other play is just another example that the front office sucks and everyone in it should be executed by firing squad.

Seriously, once again this office shows foresight and common sense and still the chicken little's find another excuse to scream about the perpetually falling miami sky.

You know Hartline has had his moments this season, but last week he was a big reason we won that game, kid needs to continue developing and not take a back seat to a guy who is not willing to give it his all. You know I really have jugged this Moss thing all week and in a weird way I am glad he is not here and then there is this other side who would have given him a chance. Moss is a big gamble, I guess.

i understand that, and i still like hartline, think hes a solid player, but in no way is he a randy moss. randy moss would of brought a new element to this offense and could have taken us to the next level i believe.

now i guess the best case is that he blows up in Tennessee and we can all feel good about it. however, if he puts up 6-7 tds with 750 yds in tenn in the remaining 8 games with them, it will only hurt more we didnt claim him.
 
well, w/ moss on the field, our young wr's would be on the field less. in turn, they'd most likely develop slower due to less game time reps.

it could be good that moss is not here in that respect ya know?

This. And to follow up, its not like Moss was going to single-handedly make us a Super Bowl contender this year. The missing piece is execution, not Randy Moss. This team is a year or two out from serious contention, Moss likely wouldn't be here that long anyway.

Exactly.
We aren't building a fantasy football team here.
There were so many potential pitfalls.
What if Moss alienates his team mates?
What if Moss embarrassed the franchise by doing what he did in Minnesota?
What if Moss gets frustrated and quits because he is only used as a decoy?
What if Moss starts throwing Henne under the bus? He had his perfect QB in Farve a guy that was willing to give him the throws when it didn't make sense and he still underperformed and went into meltdown.
We aren't a team that is one small piece away from the Super Bowl. Look at Minnesota. They are proof that desperately grasping at aging veterans doesn't always work.
Who knows how his arrival would have affected the locker room. We are not signing Hines Ward. A proven winner locker room guy. Moss is the opposite.
Adding an aging scrap heap diva receiver does not translate into wins. Look at Cinncinati.
Not making a claim on Moss was management inderectly saying to the young receivers on this team that they believe in them.
The BP system is not to allow old veterans to block the development of young player. See Jason Taylor/Cameron Wake.
The fact that he is a one year rental is why we DIDN'T do it.

I just don't understand all the people are up in arms with this.
Personally I could gone either way on this one, but I respect managements decision not to take Moss.
 
What did it for me is how he says hats off to belicheat...I love brady and the pats! No way you can put a guy on your team like that, especially in the AFC East.
 
I'd rather see more of WALLACE, who's 6'4"//220, and has run "40"s of 4.43, 4.44, and 4.46 into a wind that was strong enough that it would affect Track record "times". WALLACE also seems to want to play football.

To all the people angry over the Dolphins not getting Moss, I ask this..

Which of the WR do you cut? Hartline? Wallace?

Noone's disputing on talent and name recogniton alone, Moss is a better player than Hartline and Wallace. However, there's so many more variables to be included when discussing picking up a player, most important is "WILL HE BE A GOOD FIT FOR OUR TEAM??"

Keep this in mind.. It took New England a handful of games to realize the distraction wasn't worth keeping around anymore.. It took the Vikings a MONTH to realize they'd made a mistake in giving a high draft pick up to get him, and cut their losses. There's a reason.. The guy is a self centered, egocentric lockerroom menace who couldn't mesh with a team full of veterans, and two Hall of Fame bound QBs. What the hell's he going to do here, with an otherwise young team?

Those are red flags.. Ones I'm glad Miami chose to avoid.

What happens if say the Phins cut Hartline, he goes elsewhere and develops in to a pretty good WR. He's already showing signs of being one now, and is only going to improve. What happens then?

Guarantee you, the same crowd who is belly aching that he wasn't cut to bring in Moss will be the SAME ONES on here saying "Miami's inept front office let him get away just like Welker".

What Randy Moss has going for him is name recognition.. And please note, just because it shines doesn't make it gold.
