Penny is no longer around to pick on. Henne is now a bust. He has had 19 passes and almost a half to prove it. Pat Cat was a bust on draft day. He has had 1 pass and 1 run to confirm what everyone already knew. Wild Thig is the answer but, only until he gets into a game.

On the other hand, Ronnie has been great, needs more touches, and is liked by all. Make him our starting QB. He'll get 50 touches a game, everyone's happy, and Henning could add in the option to give teams something new to think about. Problem solved.

It is so simple. I can't believe I did not think of it before. :)

I have a pretty good feeling our QB situation has just been filled for years to come, Henne won't look back and everyone else is looking for the clip board position.

This year maybe a little rocky at times but the search is over people.

Dude...

As it has been said in several threads already, you cannot get a good Eval on Henne in one half of football. Now after the next 2 games when the Fin's head into the bye week, Henne is stinking up the field then I think you can say he's not the answer, but he needs a chance to prove what he can do.
Also if Henne does not pan out, this gives Tyler Thigpin time to absorb the playbook. (3 weeks time ) before he would be asked to start.
But for now Henne is the guy leading the offense, show some support for now, who know Henne may surprise all of us....

Don't be so sure, Henne has a lot to prove. I remember his game against Illinois senior year- great arm, accurate, lots of velocity. One of the best 20 yard outs I saw that year But the arm is just one factor- he has to be able to go through progressions and not stare down receivers. That pick 6 aganist SD was bad. I'm a fan of his and pulling for him, but how can anyone not think that he has a lot to prove, he has no NFL track record.

Thigpen- for all of this talk about his signing because White is underperforming- seriously, who thought that White would be a primary backup as a rookie anyway?- he has a track record and looked pretty darned good last year imo. I think that he can give Henne a run for his money after he gets acclimated- regardless we needed a #2.

White- there are questions, among them accuracy and how small he looks out there, but he's three games into his rookie year. Stating the obvious, but geez, how about a little time for the guy? We needed a guy like Thigpen and we got him- if he assumes the wildcat role over White that's fine, but each guy is going to take some time. Henne- I would imagine that defenses are going to try to confuse the hell out of him, we'll see what happens.

See Peyton Manning's first season. Or John Elway's.

Another worthless post.

I think White is a bust. Not NFL worthy. Im interested to see how Henning does until the bye. Honestly we cant make any assumptions until then.

I've watched that play several times....staring down recievers and that pick 6 definately do not go together....

He started out looking right and came back to Bess on the left side. The safety saw it and jumped the route. It was a bad decision, but had nothing to do with staring down Bess. I've seen about every QB in the league get picked in the same situation.

Stole my post. Either this is parody (because you have a high reputation it doesn't seem like someone would say something so dumb) or you're insane to think 19 passes is enough to decide that Henne is a bust...
