Is it just me or are they running this play too many times? It gets us 3-5 yards which is all you can ask for i guess but we seem to see it a lot.

We have really only run it in short yardarge situations and it has worked every time, its a play defenses dont really prepare for because it isnt used often in the NFL. I expect they WILL start preparing for it and we will hit them deep when they are thinking short

I love the play

ya, that play is fine. It picks up 3-5, and always has a chance to break it for long with Chambers...

The play is used a lot, but several times, it was very effective and it picked us up a few first downs. I do think it is a bit overused.

Yeah I like it. It's basically a running play with the WR. If he can beat his man there's a chance for a big play and if not you can still get 3-5 yards if executed properly.

if it guarantees 3-5 yards every time, then why not run it? i agree that it is a useful play in that if they don't plan for it we can use it for 3-5 yards. if they do, then we fake it and throw deep.

How can something that works be over used?

It will help with the deep pass during the season if the CB's keep giving our WR's that much room. They'll be forced to move up once they get beat a few times.

I dont like it as a fan of Dan Marino Football (love that long ball) but I love it as a Dolphin fan that is using it effectively. Moving the chains and clock management are what really matter, but I do love to see that bomb thrown 40 yards!

I get scary flashbacks to Fielder lobbing that pass to the opponent's corners.

it doesn't guarantee every time, like cpepp to booker in the first drive last night. But i do agree it can pick up short yardage and get db's to bite allowing the passing game to open up.

The problem is that it puts the ball out there near the sideline and if it gets INT, it goes all the way.
