Hold on now. We haven't won enough yet.......! Get someone from the Patsies or Jests. I'm sure theres alot of coaches who want out.

He'd be crazy to take that job. But it's nice that he's starting to get interviews.

there's a good chance that Bowles will be gone. not necessarily Detroit, but there are a few HC openings. The Jets, Browns, Lions, Broncos and Rams are already looking for a new HC. who knows what the Raiders will do? i'm not sure about the Chiefs either. so, that's a potential 7 HC jobs.

Shanahan is unlikely to coach in 2009 according to rotoworld. that leaves us with Steve Spagnuolo, Jim Schartz, Josh McDaniels, Rex Ryan, Jim Fassel, Ray Sherman, Lesie Frazier, our very own Todd Bowles, Jerry Gray and Bob Stoops as potential targets IMO.

coach

Don't really follow the coaching wagon but wasn't our secondary basically labeled as a weak spot on this team for most of the season? This is the best we can do? Nobody we can get in the offseason that is better than what we have? Come to Miami where the Party is just starting? This may be one of the best coaching spots in football for years to come. Of all the coaches we could lose, besides special teams,--let him go.

Secondary has been a weak spot, but they have gotten a lot better as the season has gone on and it's not like we have a ton of talent back there. Yet.

Talent

I thought coaches were suppose to develop talent. The secondary got better through playing mostly. How much does Jason Allen need, it has been two years and he is not what we expected. Like I sd, is this the best we can get? That was my point.

Beyond that the Jests are said to be seriously considering resurrecting Marty Ball (is a father and son reunion only a motion away?), their fans are drooling over the possible of The Tuna scratching a coaching itch, and Cleveland's already interviewed Mangini. If the Eagles lose this weekend, Reed might also be in play. Martz and Nolan are jokers in the deck. There are more possible HC candidate names being bandied about; they just escape me at the moment. So that lowers the odds of losing Bowles to an HC opportunity, but not quite in proportion to the pure numbers since there might be some teams like Detroit who might feel a need, from a good will restoration or marketing standpoint, to hire a strong minority candidate. But I do think the odds of losing him to a DC position, especially if replacing an upwardly mobile one like Spagnoulo, or joining a new HC's staff, which would still be a step-up for Todd, is definitely a distinct possibility.

While I hope we don't lose him, I've got confidence that the FO will continue to display the foresight and wisdom to replace him and others that they did when originally assembling this staff.

That's our best hope.

Exactly... HC highly unlikely, with the HC experience already out there... and guys like Jason Garrett who has savored a position for a few years...

Absolutely

Who Cares Let Him Go Just Dont Make It A Distraction....
We Can Probably Get Someone Better And If The Draft So Happens To Get Us More Talent Then We'll Be Alright. Not Really A Big Concern.

Give Sparano A Fat Contract Extension Is Wat U Gotta Do.lolkeep Him And Bp Happy So He Wont Leave.

im not worried about losing Bowles. Im quite glad its him and not Pasqualoni going for these interviews.

Let Bp Get Us Atleast 2, 3 More Drafts.. And We Shoudl Be Good For Years To Come....
He Drafted Bledsoe, pennington, meshawn, marion Barber, Witten , Did He Draft Romo? Anyways The Guy Is The Guy U Want On Draft Day.(bp)

I don't see either one of our cordinators going anywhere at anytime though. We should have stability in those two spots and of course our HC and GM. If we can have long term stability in those 5 key roles that's what matters the most. Our young position coaches will move up of course and get opportunities to grow. That's what happens on teams who win.
