Today's game was painful to watch, but for me not as painful as last week. Namely for 2 reasons - this week we made LESS stupid penalties - a step in the right direction, and Tampa played excellent. Griese played his heart out - we knocked him out. I was aware that Miami's D played Simms beautifully when he first stepped in during the 2nd quarter. We rattled Simms a couple of times did not let him establish rhythim. Simm's looked like his father in the 3rd quarter drive in which he went 6 for 6. He bought time, slipped away from sacks and had very good pocket awareness. Tampa's D came to play, and Miami could ill-afford to play up hill ( playing without the lead), and eventually the Dolphins SNAPPED!
This is not Saban's fault as various other hurting fans have posted. And we are not massively deficient in talent as yet others have stated. We are defecient in psychological edge, attitude, intensity, will, ability to dominate, confidence in self. But we are moving in the right direction. And props to Chucky. He and Saban are similar and that Tampa team is excellent.
