Today's game was painful to watch, but for me not as painful as last week. Namely for 2 reasons - this week we made LESS stupid penalties - a step in the right direction, and Tampa played excellent. Griese played his heart out - we knocked him out. I was aware that Miami's D played Simms beautifully when he first stepped in during the 2nd quarter. We rattled Simms a couple of times did not let him establish rhythim. Simm's looked like his father in the 3rd quarter drive in which he went 6 for 6. He bought time, slipped away from sacks and had very good pocket awareness. Tampa's D came to play, and Miami could ill-afford to play up hill ( playing without the lead), and eventually the Dolphins SNAPPED!

This is not Saban's fault as various other hurting fans have posted. And we are not massively deficient in talent as yet others have stated. We are defecient in psychological edge, attitude, intensity, will, ability to dominate, confidence in self. But we are moving in the right direction. And props to Chucky. He and Saban are similar and that Tampa team is excellent.

Not trying to be difficult, but what is the reason? Your post is more of a game summary, it doesn't explain "the REAL reason." Is it the one drive by Simms?

Yeah the mental edge part. We snapped in two because we are their yet psychologically - but we will be, that I am confident about.

The Real Reason = Miami is not making plays when it matters most + Miami is falling behind in away games

dude he said this

"We are defecient in psychological edge, attitude, intensity, will, ability to dominate, confidence in self."

That is the reason he game. Really he is not very far off. That is very similar to what I posted after the Bills beat us. When we are on the road we look flat and lifeless most of the time. Todays gme was a little better but still had moment of players walking with their heads down and kinda looked mopey.

The real reason- Miami isnt good this year. were going to get our heads kicked in against KC.

The real reason they lost is because they don't have a competent o-line. If you knew your line couldn't block, you wouldn't be very confident either. Although, I don't see that as being the problem with this team. It's not a lack of confidence, but a lack of execution.

I dont know anymore...

The more I watch them the more I realize the phins arent playing as a team.. were just a bunch of players out there going through the motions of the game plan put in place.. but im not seeing *teamwork* perse'

The real reason the team lost was, that Tampa Bay is a better team right now. I'm in the minority, but I think the team is not very talented. The team lacks a true #1 wideout, a good Qb, and the offensive line has been inconsistent, and to put on top of that the team is under a 1st year NFL head coach. I don't think the team is close to being a true contender, while they will tease fans and pull off a couple upsets, they're just not good enough. Fans expect the team to win every game, but before the year I stated that if Saban gets the team to 8-8 he should win coach of the year, and so far nothing has changed me mind.

The Real Reason We Lost

Cuz the other team scored more points than us.

But really, that is why. When you committ over 10 penalties (for the 5th game in a row) and turn the ball over (1 returned for a TD) like the dolphins have been doing, then most often you lose. SIMPLE AS THAT. Stop killing ourselves with penalties and Turnovers and we MIGHT actually win on the road.

I said it last week and I will say it again. IF, IF, IF, IF we can cut down on the BS penalties we actually have a shot at winning the division. New England got punked by Denver (althought they did make it interesting) and the rest of the AFC East is crap. Unfortunately, we are part of the crap right now. But, I think we have the most potential if we could just get it together.

Please Lord, help us get it together. :D

No one player is the cause for the losses this year. We have weak spots throughout the lineup. We could upgrade nearly across the board. Upgrade the QB position and the O-Line can't block or the DBs are getting burned. As Saban has often said - "this is a process".

real reason we lost is that gus was our QB.

Oh really? Was he playing defense on Pittman's long TD run?

Gus didn't play that well today, but he was far from the only reason the Dolphins lost.

Agreed..... I'm in the minority with you! Our secondary is terible and our offensive line weak.

I've seen it written a hundred tmes before, but haven't had the heart to accept it as being true....the Dolphins are not going too far this year and are in a rebuilding mode. I do think they are off to a good start though!
