And if he half asses it because he isn't happy? Why would we just get rid of Ramsey to be rid of Ramsey? We either get how much we want or he can put on his big boy pants and honor his contract.
I can see both sides on this one Loco.

Then he demonstrates to the potential next team he's a POS and devalues himself. And if he half asses it because he isn't happy?

A great draft can change things in a hurry for an NFL team. One or two difference makers, or solid starters, can make a huge impact for a franchise. That's always a possibility. Yes, even for Miami and Chris Grier!
The reality for Miami is that the Dolphins are going to have to rely on a lot of unproven/young talent in 2025. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes opportunity is all a player needs to emerge. In the secondary, it's highly likely that Smith, Bonner or Kohou is a starter at one corner spot. Ideally, Kohou is in the slot. A draft pick, or late free agent add is probably starting at corner opposite Smith or Bonner. Will Johnson, of Michigan, is a definite possibility at 13. Probably the odds on favorite.
On the defensive line, Sieler is a starter at defensive tackle. Most likely a rookie will start beside him. My guess would be either pick 13 or 48, early in the draft. An edge setter is probably a rookie as well, or a late free agent add.
Left guard is probably a rookie, although Borom or (gulp) Eichenberg are still possibilities. Borom could be the RG with Daniels at LG. I wouldn't dismiss that with all the needs Miami has.
Either way you slice it, I think 4-5 rookies could be starting for Miami in 2025 (LG, CB, DT, DE seem very likely).
Didn't seem to hurt HollandThen he demonstrates to the potential next team he's a POS and devalues himself.
I don't disagree that is possible but how does that help the Dolphins? Then he demonstrates to the potential next team he's a POS and devalues himself.
Yeah.Didn't seem to hurt Holland![]()
i guess, but you could probably do this exercise with many other teams (who also all draft too you cannot look at miami in isolation) and also concoct a scenario that makes them really good. most of the time, it doesn't happen that way. you could have said the same thing about the dolphins each of the last 24 years too for the most part. all those holes, pulling it off is a low probability bet. possible, not probable in my view. if it was that easy, we would be goodHere's MY reality about this team. Right now we have holes at starter at G, S, CB2, and DT. We also have a hole at TE2. Until Ramsey is traded, he's not gone (we have seen plenty of players request a trade and one of the value the team wants to get not materialize).
So, with that said, If we can pull 3 or somehow even 4 starters (not just starters because they beat our weak backup talent) but legit NFL day one starter quality players, that would be massive. Then fill in the rest with FAs like Justin Blackmon and Asante Samuel or Mike Hilton.
IF we can do that, we have improved our team.
Imagine going into the year with no hole on the O Line. Plus you add a weapon like Warren or even Arroyo or Taylor at TE? Meanwhile we also beef up DT and a backup swing tackle?
Is there anything more "Dolphin" than this answer? My dream scenario is we win the Super Bowl and Grier realizes heās accomplished everything and wants to retire to spend more time with his family. Win win imo
McDaniel can stay as long as he evolves and learns to get plays in on time , when to run the ball and learns to install a hurry up offense.
Yea I never said it was realistic lolIs there anything more "Dolphin" than this answer?
Just the idea of the Dolphins winning a SB this season is already in the land of fairy tales, but IF the Cinderella Dolphins were to accomplish such an unbelievable feat, the "dream" scenario would be for the GM who built the magical team to retire and "allow" the SB winning HC to "evolve"?
Grier has lost just about everyone on here and the same with McDaniel, but if the Dolphins win a SB, something 2 HOF coaches couldn't do in the past 50 years, Grier and McDaniel would be able to tell everyone on here to "f" off and stay for as long as they want. And we would all be happy to eat that massive crow.
Absolutely. All possible, but I also donāt think they are done with FA yet either. I can see them adding a veteran Guard, and corner for example for sure regardless of who we draft.
Yes, but we all knew when our start wWR was laying on the sidewalk in cuffs, that would be the narrative. The cops went way overboard, but Hill did not comply with their orders very timely, at least in their opinion.he really included "player getting arrested"?
I understand but how many teams have a player arrested in a given season?Yes, but we all knew when our start wWR was laying on the sidewalk in cuffs, that would be the narrative. The cops went way overboard, but Hill did not comply with their orders very timely, at least in their opinion.
