Kansas citys defense is soft on the run. All four of there lineman are undersized which means mondo rushing yards for the bruising ronnie brown. If we keep pounding them up the gut three thing will happen. 1. they will stack eight in the box and we could get could establish a balanced attack.2. they wil be on the field for a long time and get very tired (like the miami dolphins D of 05, i thought they were good but too much time on D. 3. Ricky williams will then be able to use his improved speed and still pretty good power to pick up some quality yardage.

As for Miami on defense; eventhough miami gave up alot of yardage to tampa bay on the ground, I still believe that miami will stuff the rushing tandem. To beat miami on the ground you need to be very elusive and have good agility. I think priestwill not be shutdown but I dont expect tremendous numbers. 18 carries 107 yards and a touchdown(only because i think he will break one pretty big run. What miami has to do is to find a defensive scheme that makes up for the aging sam madison and the other very young defensivebacks. Miami matches up very well with this team on defending the pass because they do not have fast recievers besides daunte hall. (which we will have to watch out for). TO all of the sam madison haters, try to remember all of the great things that he has done to this franchise. I still think he is a very good coverage cornerback, but he has definitely lost a step. the two times he has been beat big in a game was based solely on he fact of the recievers quikness. Look how he shutdown ashley Lelie in week 1.

MY PREDICTION: Miami 27 Kansas City 17

LETS GO

Miami!!!

I like your positivity but why do we always need to predict the score?? Nothing against you man, lets just grab some beers and watch the game. GO PHINS :rawk:

no doubt it will be a good one

The Chiefs run defense is actually pretty good. What made you think it was bad?

The linemen may be a bit undersized, but we all but make up for that with the talent and speed we now have at LB (but least didn't have there last year).

The Chiefs have 3 new guys starting at LB from the beginning of the season last year/ In case you haven't been paying attention, we drafted Derrick Johnson in the first round, signed Kendrell bell in the offseason. And, Kawika Mitchell has stepped up and is better playing with more talent around him IMO.

Have you even looked at what we've done against the run this year?

Week 1:
CuMart 20 carries, 57 yards, 0 TDs

Week 2:
Lamont Jordan 15 carries, 59 yards, 1 TD

Week 3:
M Anderson 20 carries, 98 yards, 1 TD
T Bell 5 carries, 47 yards

The lone exception. Denver just got up early and pounded it down our throats. But I doubt Saban will be as good at gameplaning the Chiefs as Shannahan has in the past...

Week 4:
B Westbrook 9 carries, 15 yards

Week 5:
Portis 22 carries, 77 yards

Right now KC ranks 9th in YPG against the run, and have given up only 3 TDs. Are you talking about last year, or this year? :spider:

This game could be different though, with the weather and all. This could end up a game where neither team throws the ball more than 10 times, and who knows what might happen then...

K.C.'s run defense is better than last year but it still sucks.

That is just ridiculous. Do you think Denver has a good run defense? We did a better job against Portis than they did.

I dont have a good feeling about this week. It all depends on whether or not our oline can make any holes. KC has a very good offense who will wear down our defense if we cant establish the run. Surtain and Knight are also returning to Miami and im sure they're both looking to make big impacts. Hopefully im wrong but I dont like our chances this week.

that's like saying Miami's rushing attack is better than last year, but still sucks. It's just not true.

Martin is nothing special this season

Jordan is alright

Anderson and Bell did a number on you guys, no excuses to it

Westbrook is not a huge running #'s wise back and even so Philly was down big time and had to throw to get back into the game meaning much less running (McNabb 33/48 369 yards and 3 TD's)

Portis may have not had gaudy numbers but when Brunell throws 41 times for 331 yards and 3 TD's why are you even running the ball to begin with?

From the looks of it we wont even need to run because KC is getting TORCHED through the air.. So I wouldnt put too much stock into your "run defense" because why would anyone run against them when QB's are getting 278 yards a game on average vs you

miami will win this weekend for the same reason they lost their previous 2 games.
