do u guys think ricky "promising" us before the draft that he will play and get into shape for 2005 season will affect our choices for the draft. i think if he says he'll come back saban will really think about going for a moats or morency over a top end back like ronnie. what do u guys think.

If Ricky comes back I cant see Saban using the #2 pick on a RB, he should wait later in the draft, I think he'll get Edwards or Smith.......or trade down if anyone wants too.

So yes, I think if Ricky comes back it will change our draft a hell of a lot.

Ricky will tell Saban before the draft whether he is coming back or not. He won't officialy make an announcement before the 1 year is up.

It probably will affect our draft a little, but I really hope it doesn't. Even if Ricky says that he is coming back, I want Saban to aproach that draft as if Ricky never exsisted.

And let me guess select Ronnie Brown at #2 still? Ricky will be good for another three years if he comes back, and Ronnie Brown at that point will be already 26 turning 27 (he's a bit older than most think). It's a nice idea having both at RB, but drafting a talented guy in the 3rd is a better idea.

I understand your point, but we have to keep in mind that Ricky quit on this team once. What says that he won't do it again?

I know he screwed us once, but IMO I CANNOT see him doing that again, even if he wants to quit I dont think he will, and if he does he will do it at the proper time in the offseason.
