The Rock is a Miami Dolphin! Sort of.
Starring in the upcoming HBO series, Ballers, there’s Dwyane Johnson in full uniform.
Here’s a little about the show, via Screen Rant:
The show will be executive produced by Johnson, Mark Wahlberg (who produced Entourage), Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights), Evan Reilly, Steve Levinson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia, and will center on a group of active and retired football players in Miami with Johnson set to star as one of the ex-players.
Can The Rock suit up in teal and orange this season? Just for the entertainment value.
Please.

He played D line at the U of Miami so he may be a Dolphin fan at heart anyways :idk:

Mark Wahlberg is a big Pats fan so maybe he'll play Brady and Rock can crush him :brewskis:

not sure on the Rock'm overall mobility and agility is

If this is an upcoming show on HBO, why are they using the old uniforms?

how dumb is this??? as bad as any movie he's ever made :bricks:

If you read the description in the OP, it says it's about RETIRED players, so I'm assuming it's showing a picture of him before he retired.

Rest easy, weary Dolphins fans. The team isn't signing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. At least we don't think they are. But a photograph of The Rock wearing a Dolphins uniform showed up online recently because, according to the fine folks at BroBible.com, he's shooting a television show for HBO titled, "Ballers."

Details, via IMDB: "A series centered around a group of football players and their families, friends, and handlers."

Short on specifics, but The Rock, an executive producer along with Mark Wahlberg, plays the lead character, Spencer Strasmore, a retired player who once suited up for the Dolphins.

According to BroBible.com, The Rock had Instagram'd the photo above -- before later deleting it -- with this caption:

"‘I meant to hurt you that day. Nothin' dirty… just to punish. It's how I played the game – relentless and punishing.' ~ #92 Spencer Strasmore #Flashbacks #OfAFutureHallOfFamer."

If nothing else, expect any football scenes to be slightly more realistic than your run-of-the-mill Hollywood sports-themed cinematic experience. The Rock, then known as Dwayne Johnson, played for the University of Miami in the early 1990s.

Why dumb? Have you ever watched an HBO series? They're rarely bad. This one seems to have some pedigree behind it. I see nothing wrong with the concept at all.

It truth he was just ok on a couple of great Miami teams but he's done just fine after that :brewskis:

I DISAGREE:
