I was kicking this around and trying to figure out why the Dolphins keep running Reggie Bush between the tackles. It's not just Reggie Bush, either. Just about every Daniel Thomas run has been between the tackles also. I haven't reviewed every play of every game, but I have watched them live, and I honestly can't remember more than a few runs to the edges.
No stretch plays, no pitches, no reverses to WRs.
I think the reason for this is that the coaching staff realizes that we have two guards in Incognito and Carey that are absolutely incapable of competing on plays that would call for them to pull. It looks to me that their inability to pull has caused our running game to be devoid of any versatility. Our running game is basically built to allow Incognito, Carey, and Pouncey to drive block, and nothing else.
