Let's be realistic: We are not going to the playoffs with these players, people. But the biggest reason why the season is not over is that rebuilding is part of football, too. That takes years, and it's worth watching.
The coaching staff gets another ten games to get used to the NFL, put its own act together and decide who's worth keeping and who isn't. I'm betting that not too many will be worth keeping, but it'll be fun to watch at least some of these players develop into keepers. We'll rebuild through the draft with the high picks that the rest of this untalented group will generate.
We have lots of cap room next year. A few good free agent signings and we're competitive. Some good coaching for people who have the ability and we're champions. I'm looking forward to seeing it happen right before our eyes. I'll be watching every game.
