I think they deserve their own thread. I know it's early, but this unit is looking legit.

Jones is always a playmaker (and very underrated at a league level).
Fitz looks special.
Howard is turning into a great corner.
McDonald and McCain are solid contributors.

This looks like the best secondary we've had since the Surtain/Madison era.

They need to clean up that middle. I love Kiko but he and the other LBs would drift laterally(perhaps anticipating a QB scramble) and leave caverns in the middle of the secondary.

I'm happy with them but trying to remain grounded by reminding myself they've faced a rookie QB and Blain Gabbert.

Indeed! Being honest there were definitely plays to be made in both games on us. But you play the schedule you're given.

It's crazy after all these seasons how underrated Jones still is as a player.

The guy just has a knack for making plays.

It's so strange to see that considering there are players that go practically their entire career and never make plays.

Kiko also seems to have that knack for making plays.

That was some quality effort on the play that ended the first half, game would have been a lot different had they got in there. In years past, teams would have scored there with little to no effort from us. It feels like the guys in the secondary are feeding off each others energy. Secondary competition is bringing out the best in them.

Yeah, that's an issue, but I think that's more on the LB coverage than secondary though.

After 2 games the Dolphins pass defense is surrendering the lowest opposing passer rating 56.6 just ahead of the RAMS. They have only allowed 1 TD and Intercepted the opposition 5 times. The interceptions have helped them rank 3rd best at forcing turnovers. They have forced 6 turnovers in 2 games. Last year they forced 15 turnovers in 16 games. What a difference.

Darnold may be in his first year in the NFL but he's hardly your average rookie. Giants screwed up big time, and screwed us in the process, by not drafting him 2nd overall.

Can't waste our draft picks moving forward. Need to hit on our next DT, DE, LB and CB.

They are playing well but please just start Minkah at FS already!

The Raiders Passing Offense is ranked #8 @ 290 yards a game. It’s only two weeks and those stats were heavily boosted by last Sunday though.

On the plus side for us Carr has thrown only 1 TD and 3 Picks, that sounds about right for his stat line for this week.

Defensively they are getting carved up by the run game, 154 yds a game at a 5.7 average per carry!

Welll regarding McDonalds, his biggest strength was the big hits he's known to deliver to opponents.... In a Dolphins uniform, he is missing several tackles and the big hits he's known for are NoWhere to be found.
