How would call the plays?
Honestly I think we should be throwing to mchmichael more! where is he the last three games, and I dont wanna hear they are doubling him because that would only mean someone else is being single covered. I would call at least ten plays a game to chambers, I would throw another ten to booker at least, throw to boston and welker about 7 times a game combined and the rest should go to the mcmichael and RBs. I dont see any passes being thrown to recievers except when its deep whatever happenned to running routes and getting open short and mid and over the middle. I also think we should be running it 25 times a game I dont care who they wanna give it to, but we are just not running enough

He needs to stay in and block more because the O-line stinks. But yes, we should look at him more.

You ask for at least 27 passes per game not counting RB's and TE's in this post, but then ask for 25 runs? We plan on keeping the ball the whole game?

The problem is, we're throwing TOO MUCH. Yes, McMichael needs to be more involved, but the other team KNOWS we want him involves, know he is a playmaker and they try to shut him down. Our lack of balance is hurting us. With the talent we have in the backfield, we need to work more toward establishing the run and stick with it. We were in a tight game in the first half and still weren't running it.
People want to lay the blame solely in Gus' lap, but that is wrong. He didn't play well yesterday, but all the pressure was put on him. Gus isn't great, but he isn't horrible. Obviously, he can't carry a team. But he is servicable if we can establish better balance. Gus has missed on some passes but he has had quite a few dropped. Everyone on the offense needs to step it up and hold themselves accountable. Linehan needs to mix it up better. Throwing the ball as much as we have is inexcusable. Ronnie Brown has proven to be a solid back, even with limited experience. Ricky is back now and we know what he can do. We need to run the ball down the defense's throats and set up the pass, not the other way around.

That is because Defenses know we can't throw so they are committed to stopping the run and take their changes on the pass - Just like a lb covering chambers yesterday -who won that match up? You cannot be one dimensional no matter how good you Running backs are. They are not scared of the Gus

Awesome Post

I agree with you totally I think if bring up the run attempts to 25 or so we that should help all the offense!

Then you need to pass less, like I said, your asking for almost 40 passes if you factor in Brown, Ricky and McMike.

True

Ok so well pass a little less, maybe combine those chamber and booker passes have it top where you look for one but go to the second reciever as a second option one of them has to get open! We def have to run more.

What we need to do is run more pass plays that are really running plays at heart. I watched Patrick Pass and Priest Holmes run all over the field yesterday on plays that are designed to get the RB the ball in the flat with blockers out in front. I haven't seen us do a play like that all year. Sure we've run screens, but they haven't had 2-3 blockers out in front like these others I've seen.

I would've thought that would be the best way to beat the Bucs yesterday. You aren't running into the strength of their defense by running up the gut all day, but you aren't being real predictable with what you do instead either. I would've liked to see us run a misdirection screen where Ricky goes into the flat on one sideline, Ronnie goes into the flat on the other, and then Frerotte turns one way, pump fakes, and then turns around and throws the other. Get that fast D moving in one direction and then throw it the other with blockers out in front, and USE THE ATHLETES WE HAVE ON OFFENSE -- RONNIE AND RICKY.
