Before all the inane posts start just wanted to say, had we not started the season 1-6 this loss wouldn't hurt nearly as much. We had a gameplan that was working and we got away from it tried to stretch the field too much once again exposing our pathetic excuse for an O-Line. Yes Harrington wasn't great today but he wasn't horrible either. The team as a whole was horrible our secondary was embarassing all day long. Not adjusting our playcalling at halftime and going back to what works for us was horrible. Mare missing FG's again was horrible. Joey Harrington trying to make something out of nothing was horrible.

In the end it just exposes all the holes in this team that need to be fixed. Had we not started the season 1-6 we could go back to the short passing game and attempt to save the season but this game just proves had we made the playoffs we wouldn't have gotten very far.

We need an O-Line, we need some taller guys in our secondary, we need to leave Welker in the slot, taking him out for the majority of plays in this game was a horrible mistake. We need an OC that can recognize the problems and make proper adjustments. We need more depth in our D-Line...

We need alot of things to make this team a contendor.

Anyways it's not the end of the world... we learned alot from this game and now we know what we need to build on going into next season.

For some of you i'm sure your world is coming to an end because the Fins lost this game but I hope the majority can at least realise there are alot of positives to take from this game to better prepare for a legitimate run next season.

The six game smokescreen killed us last season let's just be glad it's not going to do the same this season!

Well I hate Jacksonville so this would have hurt if we were 9-1. But yeah they should have never been in this position. QB play all season has been below average with flashes of decent stuff from Joey.

This offseason won't require a complete overhaul.

Thankfully we saw the real Joey and now they won't have to worry about a competition. Daunte gets back, he's got the job and I can't wait to have him at 100%.

Then we a new LT and maybe a new LG on the oline. Lastly, maybe another corner and an OLB and we should be able to win the division next year.

Hopefully they can address most of the problems in the offseason.

Starting with getting a secondary and a better O - line

Unless and until we change the HC on this team, none of what you listed will matter. This team was not prepared and could not adjust. The problems today were not physical, they were executable. The players were not prepared to win this game. And that has been the problem in game one against Pittsburgh and it is the same problem in week 13 vs the Jaguars.

NS is unable to get this team over the hump. Nick, if you are reading, please go to Tuscaloosa. Its a lovely town this time of year.

The sky is not falling, it fell many, many games ago. All we've been doing is trying to build a jigsaw puzzle with the pieces.

Saban deserves just as much blame as anyone for today's loss. He is the head coach after all, he approved the gameplan changes, he was deluded into thinking our o-line was better than it really was much the same as many posters here were due to Harrington's ability to get rid of the ball so quickly. We had a gameplan that was working and we tried to get cute and stretch the field with a mediocre O-Line and we payed the price. We would not be in this position had Saban not let Culpepper start the season...there is blame to go all around there is no one single person you can lay this on. I am even willing to give Culpepper a pass for all the sacks taken earlier in the season. The fact is this Offense is so far out of whack no one player is going to make the kind of difference neccesary for us to be a contendor.

Hopefully Saban recognizes this and makes upgrades at key positions particularly the O-Line right off the bat because without a decent O-Line all the Qb's and all the recievers in the world aint gonna make the least bit of difference.

It hurts to lose this game, but the fact is this season was over when we started 1-6 this loss isn't the end of the world there is plenty to learn from it...

jacksonville is coming off a 12-4 year and is alittle ahead of us talent wise, so they should win a game like this, we made the same mistakes we have all this year when we lost, but the team is better this year then last

Alright, see ya. I'll be sure to stop by next year, and do the same thing you're doing right now. I would show class and not gloat, but the majority of Pats fans have influenced my decision on that.
