Thursday night is big for Ted Ginn Jr.

Yes, we'll still be watching a preseason game that will fade in our memory about two seconds after it ends. But the third preseason game is supposed to be something of a dress rehearsal for what we're likely to see from the Dolphins in the regular-season.

And as it pertains to Ginn, I hope the Dolphins find a way to feature him during the game. Because, so far this season, I'm not thrilled with what I've seen -- not necessarily from him, but with the use of him.

The Dolphins have thrown Ginn the football four times so far in the preseason, which means in about one full game's worth of work he's had four opportunities to make a play. Ginn caught two of those passes, was interfered with on another for a long gain, and dropped the fourth pass.

I think the article is pretty stupid. There's no game planning in preseason and in the second game we were clearly working on the running game. I don't care who we win with as long as we do win. I'm positive Tedy will be a big part of what we do regardless of what we see Thursday.

It's a recession . . . and nobody is safe, not even sports writers. That is why Armando is constantly reaching with his articles, trying to stir the pot, so he can justify his presence with blog hits and comments.

I mean look at this masterpiece of journalism . . . "It worries me because, Ginn is not an established receiver. It worries me because the Dolphins coaches want to establish Ginn. It worries me because those same coaches aren't doing enough to establish Ginn and give him the opportunity to become, well, established."

Are u kidding me?

He compares Ginn to Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson in the article. Those are 2 completely different offensive strategies from what Miami wants. Miami wants a power football, ball control offense . . . which is why we go out and get a big C in Jake Grove and spend so much on our OLine . . . its the key to our offfense. Ginn isn't the guy with a target on his back . . . its the entire OLine . . . they make or break the team.

Ginn looked incredible in the first half of the first game . . . then Armando comments saying he disappeared in the second half . . . duh u dumb ***, its the PRESEASON, he only played like 3 series to begin with. In the second game they CLEARLY were focusing on the Oline and the running game, which is why they implemented a little wildcat as well. He states Ginn dropped a pass . . . it wasn't the best throw either. I mean there is absolutely no gameplanning in the preseason until the third game.

Yes, we want Ginn to have his best season yet this year, and he has worked hard this offseason and he definitely looks like he is going to take the next step forward, something he has done every year as a pro. But u can't compare him to a Fitzgerald or an Andre Johnson . . . he is not in those type of offenses and our QB isn't made to go down the field like that . . . he can . . . but its not his strength . . . but it helps Ginn become a complete WR . . . because now he has to learn the slants and the in's and the short routes, to compliment his long speed on the go routes. Ginn will be fine, trust me.

A) Why would be show our hand during the pre-season
B) Wasn't he responsible for more than 75 yards of offense in those 4 targets? And it could have been much mroe if Pennington hit Ginn in stride on the PA.
C) Maybe dumping Chris Williams would put him returning kicks/punts again. The kid is lightning in a bottle.

I have no worries about Ginn. That one catch he made when the ball was practically past him when he turned around - 95% of starting WRs won't make that catch. When I saw that play, I knew he is ready. Now we just have to get him the ball.
