6th play of the game, 3rd and 10 on the KC 45. What would you do? I know what I would call, I know what you would call. What does Lazy call? Draw play to Miller up the gut for 4 yards. The crowd boo's and that right there set the tone for the entire game for our offense.

Why would you give in right there and not fight for the first? Why would you give in and not try to score on the opening drive of the game. Sure the punt was terrific and downed on the 2. That is just what we expect from this high speed prolific offense Lazy was supposed to bring, right? Give up plays and punt...that is the excitement Lazy's offense is bringing to Miami.

The other call that further backed this theory up: 4th and a long 1 from the KC 30. Game is tied 0-0. Go for it and we keep the pressure of the drive on KC. Or we can attempt a long field goal and take our chances on a Sturgis who doesn't have that great of a track record....we choose the latter. What happens? Sturgis missed the field goal, KC gets the ball on their 38, they have the momentum and proceed to march down the field to take a 7-0 lead.

There are players on this team that can make the plays necessary. There are some who can but haven't. There are stupid penalties, dropped passes, and blown assignments. But the main problem with this team comes from those that are on the sideline making the calls. PUT THE PLAYERS IN POSITION TO MAKE POSITIVE PLAYS THAT GIVE US THE BEST CHANCE TO WIN. Giving up on 3rd down in KC territory with a draw play doesn't accomplish that. Not going for it on 4th and 1 on the KC 30 doesn't do that. Having your balls tucked between your legs doesn't do that. Something has to change in order for that to happen.

Funny you say this cause after I saw that play, I laughed and said, 'aaaaaaand it starts'

Darkwa or Damien Williams would have picked that up. They did every time during pre season. Maybe Pouncey out played into the punt and FG decisions but I agree the play calling was mystifying yesterday. Even passing the ball from the 1 yard line on 2nd and goal was strange. Philbin must still think he has Aaron Rodgers at QB. He's not the right fit for this team.

Actually it was a brilliant call when you think about it.

The dolphins average more yards per rush than yards per pass.

Nice foresight by Lazor to realize we had a better shot at a chunk play with a handoff than with Tannehill dropping back to pass.

You must be able to see things that an NFL offensive coordinator can't.

Couldn't agree more. It was a candy ass play call.

Being live at the game is Section 426, This "The other call that further backed this theory up: 4th and a long 1 from the KC 30." was the heart breaker...Everyone in my area saw this story 10000000000Xs

1) The risk reward at that point of attempting a long FG vs. going for it on 4th and 1 or punting(Pinning them within the 5 yard line) was CLEARLY not worth it. So obvious!

2) Sturgis is very likely to miss(based on previous) history.

3) KC is going to get the ball with great field position.

4) Finally, they were very likely to score.

Fast-forward a few minutes and everything came to fruition.

SOOOOOOOOO Fustrating!

2&1, 3&1 stop being cute dummies! You've been gashing them with the run the entire game. Tannehill has been inconsistent RUN THE DAMN BALL FOR A 1st.
