Totally agree. Fuller is a one year plan. If he balls out, then we cannot affort him. He is not in our long term plan.Fuller was a one year buy and try...insurance in case they fail to land somebody in the draft that can take the top off a defense.
I don’t think he changes anything in their plans, just gives them some draft flexibility.
Sure we can.Totally agree. Fuller is a one year plan. If he balls out, then we cannot affort him. He is not in our long term plan.
We need a receiver in this draft. I categorize Pitts as a receiver.
Why do that when you can have a second year wr for the cheap.Sure we can.
The cap is due to rise approximately 45M next year.
If Fuller plays well, we'll make him an offer and we might even tag him.
Why do that? Why do that when you can have a second year wr for the cheap.
And you have not considered other good players want a pay raise, such as X, Gesicke, Ogbah...
Too simplistic view.Why do that?
Because he may be better than the young players.
Hard to say... we have not seen him play yet.Too simplistic view.
Better? By how much? Does it justify the huge different in contract amount? Can we use the saving to improve other aspects of the team and make the team an even better team as a whole?
We are pretend GM on internet my friend.
You do realize that WR has become the 3rd highest paid position in the NFL. That is right top WRs make more then top LTs now. Tagging Fuller will be like 20+mill after next season. This is why I am taking WR or Pitts if you feel he brings WR type impact. I think you will see a trend in WRs going higher for some time. Getting a top WR on a rookie deal also gives the biggest bang for your buck (outside QB/edge rusher). Don't over think it. WR/Pitts gives you top value talent and bang for your buck at 6 in this draft because we are not going QB and there is not an edge rusher worth 6th overall.Sure we can.
