it's a shame he feels the organization won't keep him around next season... i'm all for getting younger, but he's just enormous... and it's all about the price... which he'll certainly expect a lot of, and the team will suggest he play for little ...

on a side note, it is absolutely amazing that a guy that huge is still playing and playing well at age 36 (37 next year, considering he doesn't plan to retire).... i can't remember a guy that big, at a position that physical, still playing -- much less thriving -- in the NFL at age 37... Even Fridge was cooked by 30....

I'd love to see him stick around.

It's all a question of percieved value vs cost.

I think this is just a negotiating ploy.

i've really noticed our goalline and 3rd/4th-and-inches defense has been markedly improved this season... mostly because of him in the middle...

id like him to stay, while we develope manny and the other huge tackle we draft this year. saban will probably bring in a huge nt this year in later rounds.

i hope he stays. he is the most underrated person on the D i think. Him and Kevin carter i consider very underrated.

He did make a comment in the preseason that he doesn't have anything left in the tank. Turns out that was false. I think the team should keep him at least for another year. Ray Brown of the Redskins is starting on their OL at RT and he's beyond 41.

Sometimes a change of scenery helps a guy refresh his tank for a year or 2. Let's hope it's 2.

Agreed. He deserves another year platooining the DT position. He can help hold the position until Manny and another NT come in.

i think that he was referring to a temporary situation when he said he was out of gas

I'm really hoping we keep Traylor, but it just seems like the chances of him playing in Miami next year, is looking a little bleak. I still think it's possible, hopefully we'll find someway to keep him. The man can still definitely play, and he is an absolute BEAST. A huge part of our RUN D this year, would hate to see him going, I would like AT LEAST another year.

I just think that the coaches want to get some younger players more time on the field. Manny Wright has looked very good, a healthy Vickerson should be back, Roth at the DE these guys need to be on the field. As great as Traylor has been we cant sacrifice the development of the young guys. If he is cut I wont be happy but I can understand.

traylor

where has anyone read where the organization has said anything about any player on this team for next season? I must have missed it.
