We all get worked up about there mornoic sports writers and commentators wheather they be from ESPN or the Sporting News or where freakin ever! Just remember one thing and never forget this. These Idiots are all LOCAL writers from somewere. And they ALL have a local bias from where ever they are from. Take ESPN for example. Do you think that it is an accident that they are always pimping the Buffalo Bills or the Jets? I know the Pats too but they have the rings to proove they can kick some As@! But these guys all love their teams where ever they are from and if the writer is a jets fan he is always going to punk the Dolphins and pimp the Jets. ALWAYS! Were are most of your Networks and papers published????? Thats right. New Freakin' York! All North Eastern Seaboard. So when you get all ripped about the crap these guys write or talk about just remember they are all fans of their own teams and no matter what the "Code of Ethics" in writing may say they all are bent and they do suck! :fire: :fire:

Well, don't complain about me when I become a professional and I show my bias for the Dolphins. ;)

EDIT: By the way, this was MY 4,000TH POST!!!! :mdfin::rawk::mdfin::wave:

All sports writers are human. Thats what you should have said.

No I should have said what I said! Human has nothing to do with it. They should be able to rise above it and be honest. And hell yeah, Id love to see A pro dolphin sports writer/commentator.

Yeah, but Marino never Hides the fact that he loves the Dolphins. I watch them every year tease him about his picks and he just laughs and agrees its because he loves the team. That Is great. The other guys arent up front about it. I wouldnt mind that at all.

They're opinions aren't nearly as extreme as you guys on here make it sound. ESPN is a professionally run company and is not based on bias opinions. They point out the obvious, thats all.

"the dolphins suck"...who here, at the end of the season wasn't (even if it was just secretly) saying to themselves "No S*** Sherlock"

Oh give me a break.

So what.We are supposed to be discerning enough to know the difference. The commentators will not change my opinion.I just hope they have something new to report. Its all in the eyes of the beholder .

Geez, if you don't like what you watch or read, don't watch or read it! These guys are not out to proselytize anybody, they're simply expressing their opinion and getting people to discuss it.

So because writers and/or commentators don't believe that the Dolphins are gonna be world beaters they're "idiots?" Anyone who does not agree with your opinion obviously knows nothing. I'm not gonna say there is not an east coast bias, but I think that is more towards college athletics, not pro.

Just like Marino almost always picks the Dolphins on Inside the Nfl.

he needs to quit doing that. his #13 is cursed and he needs to quit cursing us.

Holy Crap, I didnt know that half of the Herald and Sun Sentinal staff were regular posters on this site. Sorry Guys didnt know I would touch a nerve there. Geese!

the national sports media is very east coast friendly. especially upper east coast. especially in baseball.

And... whether it about sports, or politics, it's nearly impossible to write without bias. As with everything, we need to take it with a grain of salt.

As a side: I think I read sometime ago, in the news, someone suggesting little labels for articles on political commentary. So if someone is a conservative, there would be a little label at the top, or something, letting the reader know ahead of time that the writer has a conservative bias.

Maybe we should have that for sports writers. Berman can have a Bills logo, Jerry Greene of the Orlando Sentinel can have, I love the Bucs, and HATE the Dolphins, etc... :) J/K
