Tannehill played pretty well and he was instrumental in keeping us in the game but anyone saying Tannehills ceiling is elite is wrong. If he were, he would've made the plays that needed to be made to win this game. He's a good quarterback, I'm not saying he's not but he has to make good on WIDE open throws that can win a game for us.... This lack of an OL and nonexsistant running game definitely doesn't help but great QBs win that game

we lost this game because of Walt Aikens penalty and most importantly the Olivier Vernon penalty. If I was GM, Vernon would be out. Personally I like Fede anyway, he can replace Vernon just fine. Vernon is a total dummy for what he did

He missed how many throws in that game? One? Two?

The 15 yard out to Jennings? What were the other ones? The one to Cameron where he got crushed and had to release the ball early as he was going to the ground? Agreed, I wish he had made both of those.

But, watch more than one game a week. Actually, just watch the Packers/Seahawks game tonight. You'll watch two Super Bowl winning quarterbacks, including a guy who I think might be the best I've ever seen play QB, miss a couple of throws.

He's a above average game manager. Some on here are delusional in thinking he's some elite playmaker at the position, though. Which is laughable. There's a reason he's been elected to zero pro bowls, and has zero all pro selections. He's nothing special. Certainly wasn't worthy of the investment they made during the summer.

You are what your record says. 25-27.

Yes, Tannehill kept us in the game, but it would of been nice to say he WON us the game.

You hit the nail on the head. Ryan just isn't anything special. He's serviceable with an athletic body. He doesn't see the field all that well and does not come up big in high pressure situations. He takes what he gets and never elevates and takes from the D. That's why he's so inconsistent in big moments. He has no internal instinct for deep passes and rarely takes the risks necessary to elevate the team beyond its struggles.

He is a good arm and good work ethic and that keeps him in the game, but he never takes the game and makes it his own. After four years a spade is a spade.

He's solid, not great. And it appears he never will be.

I support Tannehill but honestly how many years and excuses is he going to get? There needs to come a time where he can go out there and march us down for GW drives and he just doesn't. You only get so many years without Playoffs in this league and when he's getting paid that kind of money I just wonder how much longer he gets here. He's 24-26 now.

Well fortunately his contract isn't a complete commitment. Isn't it constructed to get us out of the commitment in a year or two. That's a perfect alignment to start seeking a replacement of the .500 seasons continue.

RT exceeded expectations today. His play was elite in all respects except for scoring. He needed one more TD.

You lose all credibility once you admit that's your measuring stick. Andy F*cking Dalton had worse stats than THill last season and got in on name alone.

God people are just sportscenter zombies here. Form your own opinions!!!

He will always be an average QB, never elite. He played a good enough game (stat wise) but can't make others around him better or will the team to a victory. There is a lack of fire with a lot of players on this team. Landry shows fire and so does cam wake. Other than that, everyone is just picking up a paycheck and taking what other teams give them. Either way, the whole team lost this game today, including your favorite player!

I thought Tannehill was fine today. Only thing I blame him for really is not zeroing in on Landry for that final play. You have to be looking at your top player all the way.

Other than that he wasn't the one getting bonehead penalties. He wasn't the defensive backs letting WRs run 10 yards BEHIND them. He wasn't the coaches wasting TOs and looking clueless.

It seems like there are two sides: Tannehill sucks or Tannehill is great. Count me in the middle. Id like to see what he can do with a coaching staff that isn't full of total buffoons.

I would like to be able to evaluate losses based on Tannehill as a singularity but I just can't get past how every game the billion dollar d-line is non existent and the secondary makes household name of nobodies....

So the first hand opinions of his NFL peers, coaches, and the people who cover the league mean nothing?

Shut up.

You want to waste another coaching staff and 3-5 years to see if Tannehill has it? Great players elevate those around them. Sorry. But it's this year, it's now that he needs to step up. He's got the receivers and the offense down. No more excuses.
