The way I see it we played great in the first half, yes they should not of gotten a TD at the end of the half, that was a joke. The clock should've been run off. It should have been 24-3 at half. But in the second half we straight up panicked. They started to get some momentum and we got scared. We made a ton of mental mistakes, missed tackles, and looked completely dis-oriented the rest of the game. I think we all need to realize that 2 season ago we were 1-15, we had a good year last season, but I think it was mostly because of our schedule. It is time for us to stop complaining and remember that we are still a year or two away from being real contenders, we still have a lot of work to do to get there. At this point, I think we will start both our rookie corners the rest of the way, let them learn, and we will try to play mistake free football. We are a decent team, but I'm pretty sure everyone realized last year when Baltimore whooped us in the playoffs that we still have a lot of growing up to do. We have a lot of young players in key positions, our safeties are not looking good at all and I am pretty sure that Wilson will be gone next year. Time to face reality fellow fin fans, we made the playoffs way sooner than anyone thought possible but this season is looking more and more like a reality check. Henne will get better as the year progresses, as will Smith and Davis, Ginn really disappointed me yesterday, I think I may be finally giving up on him. Hartline looked pretty good, Fasano was disappointing, and has been all year. Right now we have a good o-line, great running backs, and newbie QB, and a very weak WR core. On D, Porter looks old and slow, Taylor played great yesterday, but I give him maybe one more year after this. Our secondary sucks, but I am very excited about Smith and Davis. Next year we need to get a good safety with some leadership because it looked like that was what we were desperately needing yesterday. I think we can still make this a decent season but playoffs look out of the question, unless we can beat NY and NE. This is how football goes, we should atleast be happy that we can compete with a team like the Saints.

The truth is, Miami's 2nd half adjustments were flat out horrible, on offense and on defense.

Miami led for the first 57 minutes of that game. It was foolish to have Henne pass the ball 36 times in such a game. It was just stupid to give up on the running game in the 2nd half allowing Brees and the Saints offense to get right back on the field way too quickly time and time again.

And it was stupid to play that vanilla style defense in the 2nd half (like they played through the entire Colts game)... Miami was giving them all kinds of different looks up front in the first half, the Saints were confused and looked inept on offense.

The broadcasters for the game couldn't stop talking about our great game plan defensively in the 1st half.. They loved it, we loved it, everyone loved it.. We were mixing up the defensive looks pre snap early and often, with pletny of mix ups in personnel packages throughout the 1st half... Confusing Brees and their offensive line..

Then they got away from that in the 2nd half.. QB's like Manning and Brees will pick apart easy to read defenses every single time.

We did everything you could ask for with the defensive game planning in the first half.. You see how QB's like Brees and manning can look mediocre when a defense gives a lot of different looks to confuse them getting them off their timing and rhythm.. Then Miami got away from it in the 2nd half.

Dumb dumb dumb game planning both on defense and offense in the 2nd half. We gave that game away.

I agree with the lack of defensive adjustments in the 2nd half. We folded; no confidence no discipline in tackling and utter lack of any further adjustments on defense.

In the 2nd half I believe they made an adjustment, and had Jonathan Vilma just chase down and focus on our running game/wildcat. I believe that is why Henning went away from it; whether he should have stuck to it and given it different looks is a different point.

The drops by our receivers and tight ends was the undoing of the offense.

Overall lack of execution couldn't make up for effective coaching. And lack of good coaching couldn't make up for lack of execution.

goes hand in hand ravimk.. The #1 responsibility a coaching staff has is to put their players in the best possible situations and positions to succeed. And they didn't put them in those positions in the 2nd half.

It was atrocious game planning in the 2nd half. On offense and on defense. It made zero sense to stop what was working so beautifully in the 1st half of that game yesterday.

The truth is since Sam Madison, Pat Surtain,Brock Marion, and Brian Walker we haven't had a decent secondary and that's why we can't hold onto a lead.
