i think the Raiders gave up on the trenches thing once Gallery busted. definitely not a good idea for a team to completely give up on a proven philosophy because of one player, good or bad.

Al Davis stopped having any idea what he was doing about ten years ago. It's a shame because he's a great owner, and he does try, and he wants to win. But he really needs to be less hands on and hire some front office people who know how to build a team.

Who really knows how competitive we are. Its just one game and after one game last year many thought we were ok. Its not about trenches vesrus Flash its about not sticking with one coach long enough to build a foundation.

Both teams, are gonna stink this year, both teams have stunk for years now. If we gotta hang on to being more 'competitive' than the Raiders, this will be a longer season then any of us expect. These are two once proud franchise that have been flat out embarressing for 5 years.
