It's playoff Saturday and once again, for the sixth straight year, I sit down to watch the games with no one to cheer for since my beloved Dolphins are once again eliminated. Oh the emptiness.

Who else shares the emptiness?

Beat me to the thread.

My other issue is what "hope" does the team have? My answer is the QB and that is about it...lots to work to do this offseason.

It has been a rough last couple of days knowing this day was coming.

I live in North Carolina and I could care less about the Panthers. Watching this would just be passing time till the Phins play tomorrow if they were in the playoffs ahead of Baltimore. And talk about inaccurate, Newton is not even close but he beat us in the last game. There ya go.

I'm used to it...After the Baltimore loss I knew we were out. I had 3 weeks to prepare.

It definitely sucks. I am reduced to hoping that either Seattle, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, or Indy takes the whole thing. Obviously no Dolphin fan is going to want New England to win another one. I don't think I could take the media drooling over either Manning or the Cowboys if they won. It sucks having to cheer against teams in the playoffs rather than cheer for my own :idk:

I was just explaining to my son how exciting this time of year used to be..back in the 70's,80's and 90's. My biggest complaint was that we would win a game or two in the playoffs then lose...couldn't get over the hump. Little did I know how good we had it and how little I knew. It just is so depressing to watch again....while my brother's Steelers will be in the mix yet again.

Yep, they ran off Shula for not winning it all late in his career. But at least we had a ticket to the dance almost every year

I was out doing stuff all day today. No interest in football until the regular season begins in Sept.

How can anyone feel empty? Shouldn't we all be used to this by now? The Dolphins playing in January just isn't something that happens.
