The "Who You Would have Drafted" Thread

That was my concern with Chop Robinson as well. Didn't hate the pick but, to your point, he's currently a pass rush specialist. With Chubb and Phillips that could work well, but can Robinson develop into a complete player?

The work ethic is there so maybe??

At 21, Miami had mostly "flawed " options. I liked Barton but his best position is guard, which I'd high for 21.

Newton is small and just OK in the run game. Thomas has everything physically, plus production, but needs to learn more of a route tree.

Guyton is a work in progress.

Mitchell and Arnold could have been great choices as well. Even maybe Worthy.
I agree, as usual the Dolphins had "flawed options" at 21.

The draft was going well for us until pick 15, then the run on defensive players who we could have used started and the final 2 top tier OT's went off the board all right before us.

Sure we could have selected Mitchell who I think was the BPA. I would have been fine with selecting him as we could have potentially had the best secondary in the NFL and when you consider Ramsey and Fuller are both approaching 30.

Barton might have offered us the most immediate help.

Newton and Guyton could have been options if we had traded down but Grier rejected those offers.

All in all I am fine with the Chop Robinson selection. I believe he has high upside but of course with any draft pick there is risk involved.

I understand the vision for Chop Robinson. Can't teach that first step either and I'd always bet on the players with a strong work ethic. That stood out about this draft. Lots of players with a chip on their shoulders too.

As to to pick at 21, the way the draft had fallen, I was expecting Mitchell or Thomas.
