Don't really understand why this needs to be broken down in the first place.

It isn't complicated by any means. It is hard to defend because you essentially get an extra blocker(QB is running a route instead of standing in the back field, which forces a DB to cover him and effectively taking him out of the play.)

It's just nice to see ESPN writing an article that actually goes a little in depth.

The animated plays were kinda cool too.

Based on the some of the replies in the article I can see how many people don't understand the formation or why it is giving defenses fits.
