The Wrong Te

Incidentally, the word you were looking for is scotoma.

If you're going to insist that you're the smartest guy in the room, and that people who disagree with you must have discrete flaws that explain why they disagree with you, you should probably at least be good at spelling.

Another flawed conclusion. I never insisted I was the smartest person in the room. Maybe that’s something you struggle with? I merely disagree with many of your conclusions.

No they shouldn't. Everyone should develop their own opinion. I've been adamant about that for decades.

However, they should probably keep their foolish mouths shut trying to psychoanalyze some dude on the internet they've never met and choosing to go that route rather than just saying, hey I disagree.

Probably shouldn’t bother you so much then.

We blew it they way it looks. Can say the same not taking Darwin. Fitz had a ok year but Darwin blew it up. Lets wait til the end of this year, and see

As it looks so far, Miami drafted more of an athlete than a football player.

Michael Egnew 2.0?

The only thing Egnew and Gesicki have in common is elite athleticism, and even there Mike is much better.

Egnew never had the hands that Gesicki has shown on tape, Gesicki has more upside than any TE in last years draft by a mile, and that includes first rounder Hayden Hurst.

He may never be a great blocker, but he will be a better receiving TE than anyone in last years class in the long run, he just needs more time developing into one of the hardest positions in the NFL.

Still a great pick imo, year 1 means little to nothing as everyone knew he was not a finished product or he would have easily gone round 1 with that upside.

There are definitely similarities in the players and how the players were handled.

Both guys were pass receiving specialist that we wanted to beat blocking into their heads.

Egnew actually looked physical at times. Hell we even put him at FB. But that speaks to completely trying to turn him into something instead of taking advantage of his skill set.

Gesicki is a smart dude, but he just looks like he took his first trip to the skating rink when he plays.

Ultimately I think Gesicki is definitely leaning more towards Egnew than he is, say, Zach Ertz, just based on 2018.
