The Year of the Unemployed coaches.

Haslett has wanted out for awile now. The guy literally asked to be fired. He will be back with another team next season as a HC.

Hopfully with the jets or bills.

Up here near Buffalo, there are rumors that Mullarky might get fired, maily because Donahoe is gone for sure, and he was the one that brought Mullarky in. There have been reports of both, Mullarky might be staying and Mullarky might be going.

Texans, Saints, Packers, Lions, Raiders, Rams, Vikings, Cheifs, and Cowboys (If Parcells retires) can do whatever the hell they want. Just stay away for Linehan and our personnel.

The good thing is that we are not that hot and dont have any long time coaches. We made it to 9-7, but all that is attributed to Saban. Our offense was not ranked very high, and our DC is just....who is our DC anyway?

Look for the Colts coaching ranks to be dismantled (you cant give ALL the credit to Manning) and maybe their DC too. Gary Kubiak and Brad Childress are guys who have done well year after year. Bates has a chance in GB, unless Mariucci gets the call there.

Guys with good reputations and only one year where they are, most likely are far down the list.

All these firings makes me feel even better about having Nick as our head coach.

Yep. With Sabans ability and Waynes loyalty....we wont have to worry about this for a LOOOONG time. Add in a Super Bowl win and you're looking at ten years.

Dont forget Norv Turner... he will probably be fired as well...

wow, that is alot of open coaching jobs...

Yeah, by the end of the week 25% of NFL teams won't have a coach.

Doubt that. He is a pretty bad coach...

He won coach of the year in 2000.

Besides, many around N.O. thought he'd be granted one more year of clemency because of the hurricanes and all that mess.

he asked for a contract that would make him one of the highest paid coaches in the NFL so NO fired him.

In all honesty he should've been fired in either 03 or 04. He's had a lot of talent on the saints this year, but had two back to back 8-8 seasons (plus 2 horrible drafts).

maybe this year we'll see people wait to hire the best canidates instead of going for a quick fix.
