Its known that Saban has run a zone D for the most of his coaching carreer and zone blitzes are one of the most scary thoughts for some QBs, think they are throwing the house on you cause you see Safeties and LBs Blitzing try to throw some quick route before they get to you and bam there is a DE like Jason Taylor standing right in beetwen you and your WR. We all know that Pooles biggest knock its speed which its not all that important in zone schemes, we also know that Madison has lost a step but has great awereness and instincts and we also know that Reggie Howard thrived in Carolinas Zone scheme and fell flat on his face in Miamis man cover. All this is to point that Surtains biggest strength is man coverage while all the other guys are better suited for zone that is leading us to beleive that Surtain its actaully expendable, not that we wont miss him but that we will be able to move on after his departure.

Thanx, but everyone seems to be more intersted in the rumors about trades that aren happening than actual study of the team.

I agree, nice...

Someone else brought up Fletcher playing in the Zone. Kind of make me wonder if he would of thrived this year.

Yeah fletcher wouldnt had been so BAD as he was in man coverage but he still was a flop of a 1st rounder and no scheme can change that he is a decent 3th or 4th CB NO starting material.

Well speaking of flops, im not going to say that Carey is going to, but if he does that would be Wanny's second 1st round draft picks that flopped and i believe that he only had two bc he gave two away in the ricky willaims deal to the saints, how bad is that!

Dude the Super Duo Wanny-Spielman made the worst desicion making in the NFL in the last few years, no one listen NO ONE has made more mistakes than those 2.

That may be the first time they have been called super... special maybe but super never. haha
