I am not gooing to take the credit for something i didnt think of but on my favorite radio anchor J.T. the brick had a caller say that he thinks the reason why the packers are not making any moves, is b/c they want farve out and theyre trying to tell him that they dont want him ne more that they are gonna start the rebuilding mode. I thought this was a very good point made by the caller thoughts?

p.s. For those of you who dont know who j.t. the brick is he is on fox sports radio at 10 p.m - 2a.m. eastern time. The reason i like his radio show so much is b/c he will not anwser your questions, he wants you to give your explanation about the sports topic then he will state his opinion. He is also on with Brian Cox when its fball season on sundays 7-10 pm et:dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins:

If they want him out, why don't they just cut him? :confused:

You can't just cut Brett Favre, the city would riot man. Same reason Miami didn't cut Marino but sure did nudge him out the door.

1. I hate J.T. the Brick.

2. It would make sence to have him retirealready so they can go on with rebuilding the team.

cutting Favre:

1. ownership gets heavily scrutinized by fanbase
2. makes him free to sign elsewhere should he decide not to retire
3. and remaining unpaid bonus money immediately counts as dead cap space

let him retire:

1. ownership still looks OK in the fans eyes as they have Rogers in the wings
2. deiceds to unretire and sign elsewhere would require compensation
3. all contract money no longer counts against the cap

I think GB wants him to retire so they can see what Rogers has. If Rogers bombs and the team sucks, they enter the Brady Quinn sweepstakes next year.

I always believe that it was the other way around, I believe Farve wants out of GB in the worst way, but there is no easy way to do it.

Bingo. When you have done the things Farve has done you rise above other players. You get a greater respect. You don't cut Brett Farve. YOU wait and see what he does.
