We are kind of left to total speculation, dreaming, and pure fantasy on here. Bill looks to be in 2nd gear figuring out what he is going to do with his offense. His defense is not finished, but the offense is truly a work in progress. I would like to see Joseph sign, as well as the safety from Dallas for special teams. This is always an exciting but cumbersome time before the draft. Any of you who used to pay but do not currently do so, can you tell me if it is worth it to join the VIP section?

I think he's going to sign a few more offensive/defensive role players that also play ST and come cheap and that's it. I believe he's going to fill up the remaining roster spots in the draft. We're going to be a really young team!

well, it looks as if BP has targeted some FAs but they have not shown too much interest in MIA: Fabini, Sims, Blackstock, Pace(shunned us), Perry, and now Joseph.

Looks like MIA is fine at WR with Ginn, Wilford, Hagan, Camarillo, and maybe a special teams ace at #5.

Looks like with MIA targeting LBs and DL via FA that MIA is not wanting to use a high pick on a LB/DL. Good bye Chris Long for those wishful thinkers.

With MIA only signing Smiley and keeping Carey, Satele, Mormino, Darilek, and Wilson...that they are going to use quite a number of picks on OL in this draft.

They definitely are going to draft a QB with only signing McCown and all the interest that they have shown on Ryan, Flacco, and now Woodson.

It also seems like they are comfortable with W Allen, A Goodman, M Lehan, T Daniels, and a special teams ace at CB, unless they are eyeing a trade down with ATL for D Hall.

In the end, I see MIA using at least two first day picks on OL and one on a QB. I wouldn't be surprised if they add another OL in the second day as well. That's what it looks like it is developing into.

Maybe a Matt Ryan, S Baker, and C Nicks in the first day. Then a CB to start off the second day at #64. Maybe a LB in the 4th round and another OL in the 6th round. We should get a compensatory pick in the 6th round which probably ends up being a speedster at WR or another OL. Who knows what we find in the 7th round....so...

Nothing we have done so far rules out Chris Long, if anything our moves and the possibility of trading JT signal that we are strongly considering drafting him. When you look at the players at the top of the draft that will get consideration, you can cross them all off the list one by one leaving Chris Long and Jake Long. I think the smart money goes on Chris because Jake is better suited at RT and you don't draft a RT with the #1 pick. Also you have to take into account the fact that this is a very deep draft at T and you could very well get a starter in the 2nd round.

Yeah, I definitely think you'll see them draft a few OL. I have my fingers crossed that we select Branden Albert at #32.

I think they've showed more interest in Flacco and Henne than they have in the other QB's.

Hall won't be a Miami Dolphin, I can't see that happening at all. If Miami and Atlanta make a trade it will probably involved draft picks. JMO though

I really hope we don't draft Henne. Not only do I hate Michigan becuase I'm an MSU fan, but the guy just isn't that good. He makes poor reads, and the guy shouldv'e had the best year for QB's in college football with a WR core of Manningham and Arrington. Then, you add in a back like Hart, and a classic Michigan line, how wasn't this guy amazing last year?

Henne is just another bust with a ton of flaws like all of those 2nd tier QBs everyone wants to waste a pick on.

The only QB worth spending a pick in rounds 1-3 on is Matt Ryan. If he isnt the guy then wait till later and get Booty(who is more ready to start than any of the QBs or at least right there with Ryan only less of a celing) or Ainge who can probably be had in round 5 or 6. Ainge has as much potential as any of those projected 2nd rounders and can be had much later.

Flacco has no footwork, Henne is sparatic and like you say makes poor reads, Brohm has trouble in the pocket when there is pressure, and Woodson is a complete joke. His mechanics are so far off that he may never be fixed. All he has is a strong arm. Dixon is a total joke at QB and will never play a snap in the league at that position at least. And I just dont know what to think of that Johnson kid people talk about. Ive never seen him play to be honest.

So to sum it up Ryan and Booty are the goods, only Ryan has potential to be great and I see Booty as a below avg starter at best, maybe a good backup. If you want to go project, go Ainge because he can be had much later than the projects in rounds 2-3. Stay away from everyone else. But, hey, thats just MHO.

Since we don't have a legitimate pass rushing threat in the front three, I can see Miami still taking C. Long to fill that roll.

I saw a mock draft yesterday that had us taking Chris Long first and Brohm 1st pick in the second round. First time I've seen that, what do you all think about Brohm? Some media people have Flacco going in the 1st round now.

Chris Long isnt part of the front three IMO. He will get manhandled as a DE in a 3-4 in the NFL. If we draft him, it BETTER be to play OLB, and maybe a bit of DE on passing downs. Otherwise, its a huge mistake. He would be Matt Roth #2.

I'm sorry but we are not fine at WR. We need another speedster to be at least our 3rd wideout.

I do agree that we'll draft a qb.

There just wasn't that many sensible options in FA. This draft is deep in corners. Daniels' job isn't secured.

IDK, with Parcells' defense background, I find it hard to believe we'll go all offense on day one(I sure hope not).

Lee, no one answered your question tho...yes, it's worth it for two reasons...one is that you don't have to read some of the ridiculous posts on the main board (of course not all are like that, but many are...) and second, there is additional info and speculation (with legitimate reasons) that we get in the VIP that you won't see here. either way, this board supplies us with more fact and speculation than any other single source so do what you think is necessary for yourself....

There's still the June 1st cuts aswell, not that guys available then will knock your socks off but hopefully they will be along the same line as the guys we've already signed.

If nothing else, the Falcons would end up in a better position by trading Hall for a 1st (both the Giants and 'Pokes have been rumored to have offered one, with Atlanta said to be holding out for a mid-1st) and then swapping their first and second for the overall #1 then simply trading Hall and their 1st for the #1. In the first scenario, they'd have the #1 plus another 1st, but minus their second and Hall; in the second, they'd have the #1 and their own 2nd, but not another #1 nor Hall.

I can't seem to recall Matt Roth being considered one of the best players available (if not the best player) in the draft when he came out. Am I missing something? I have a feeling he would do quite well at almost any of the front 7 spots.
