For you guys who keep stating needs as wr, qb, and even rb, there are only 7 offensive linemen on the whole team. And half of them are street free agents that were recently signed. You have Carey, Satele, and Mormino who were drafted, Smiley who was signed in free agency, and the rest of them were undrafted or street free agents (I do like Wilson at tackle). If that position is not a priority the rest of this free agency and in the draft then something is wrong. I know Miami needs corners and could use a pash rusher, but the offensive line as it is has to be upgraded. What is left out there I am not really sure. There is a reason what is out there is there. But when I read threads that list qb, cb, and wr as priorities it pales to the needs of the OL.

We have no right tackle right now, whatsoever. Thats scary.

I imagine multiple linemen will be picked in the draft.

specifically tackles

I'm tellin you, that Jake Long, Cason/Talib, Cherilus first 3 picks is looking better and better . . . but I think Bill not getting Pace kind of hurts us not looking at a LB prospect with the first 3 picks.

Woah woah woah, take it easy guy. We'll be sure to get some linemen in, with one of the priority tackle positions coming in the draft. No need to enter panic mode two months before the draft.

I am not panicking at all. I know they will wind up with

13 to 15 linemen on the team. But I keep reading threads on the draft board where guys write their idea mock and it doesn't include an OT or includes a guard in the 7th round. Bill's philosophy is to build from the inside out and I know he will do that. Just reminding folks on the board that cbs and wrs will come later.

If you see a mock that doesn't have any OL being picked, it's not a real mock ;) Whoever made that thing doesn't have a clue.

agreed... Tackle is our #1 need right now IMO... followed closely by Guard.

Qb- we have Beck as a project and McCown as a decent starter, good backup.
WR- Wilford is definitley starting, Ginn may as well
CB- Allen is a solid starter, and Lehan looks like his clone....
OT- Vernon Carey will start at one of the tackle spots, we don't have another tackle we can count on....
OG- Smiley is a starter, everyone else is a project... is Liewinski still here ? I'd like to resign Rex :) and try Smiley at LG while drafting a Tackle with one of our first 3 picks...

If no trade down happens, Id like to see Jake Long come in here for the next 10+ years, like our Richmond Webb.

I love how people are freaking out like this is the end of our roster building. We still have the draft with four of the first sixty-four picks (possibly more if we do some trading). Yeah we have a whole lot of needs, we shouldn't expect all of them to be addressed in year one.

Do you guys think that Drew Mormino got a chance to start at the other guard side, or will he be a backup c/g!?

He's an interesting case. I think he has a chance, and depending on what we do in the draft, maybe a good one. I hope he turns into on of those late round steals.

True, we drafted Hadnot in the 6th round and he was a solid starter for us! Mormino could be his replacement!

The only way we are drafting a CB that high is if we make a trade with dallas. Otherwise, we do not have a dire need for a CB and if we get one, we will probably trade down our fourth rounder and get a fifth or 6th round pick and get a sleeper cb there. Otherwise, you guys are living in fantasy land

one thing you damn well know for sure is that Sparano and BP and Ireland are going to get two OL in this draft, maybe even 3! You know damn well they are going to get a WR in this draft even if it is a FA after the draft (many good WR's). You know damn well we are going to get an impact DE/LB (Chris Long). And you know that BP likes Flacco and Henne.

to me that spells Chris Long, OT at 32, QB at 57 (unless we trade JT), and either LB, WR, TE, or another OL at 64. But I would not gather we are getting a CB when we have Allen, Lehan, Daniels, and the recovering dude from detroit (his name escapes me). They are all good cb's, they just need to have a set system and some good coaching...which is what we have not had!

I see us drafting a CB #32, #57 or at latest #64! This years CB group is so deep, talented and very athletic, we need to get one of these guys!
