You guys are crazy, he's only worked under is daddy and wasn't even the defense coordinator, Mayo was. He couldn't even get and NFL job after Bill left and Mayo didn't even retain him. He went on to be a coordinator in college at U of Washington who is 6-5 after being in the National Championship last year and you want to make him an NFL head coach?

Boston media used to constantly make fun of him cause he was considered awkward and werid and make the dumbest faces on the sidelines with his mullet.

It's great when they break off a big one, but you need a bruiser back there at times to soften up the defense, and most importantly, convert the 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1. Right now, we're in the realm of getting farther from contending, not closer, and we're plugging holes in the roster with people who don't have enough in the gas tank to contribute now, let alone next year or the year after.

I see people arguing in the 2025 draft thread about who to pick in the first round. Honestly, I agree with all of them. There really isn't any position on this roster that couldn't be upgraded, beyond maybe starting QB and the two starting WRs. If the Dolphins were to draft with any competency whatsoever, they would get someone who'd contribute next year because there are so many deficiencies.

However, it all starts at the top. Ross hasn't shown an ability to put the right people in place to spend his money, construct the roster, define some kind of plan and then coach the players into it. Then, he also has a nasty habit of personally involving himself in personnel areas in ways that hurt his team.

He can't find good people to work for him, and, when he does (Harbaugh, Parcells), they don't take long to decide they don't want to work for him. He's an anchor on the potential of the franchise.

Hopefully his daughter is a much better owner than he is. It would be difficult for her to be worse.
 
Better IOL. Smarter play calling. Better discipline.

If that means replacing the HC, so be it.

That would solve a lot more than the “blow it all up” crew would like you to think.

OMG, more OL nonsense and "maybe" we should replace the HC. Here's my partial list of McDaniel sins and screw ups and please tell me anybody should be on the fence about firing him:

A total lack of preparedness by his team against good teams
His record vs Buffalo
Zero playoff wins
Failure to bring in or develop a competent backup QB
His putrid playcalling that leaves the offense with many second and longs and third and forget its
The penalties that never stop
Bad clock mgmt and wasting time outs
The delay of game penalties that happen bc he can't get a play in on time
Constant weekly ****ups by players like Julian Hill and Eichensuck that aren't addressed
Two players and a respected DC who have called his players soft

better discipline, really? How about any discipline

The McDaniel Country Club needs to be shut down
