THERE MUST BE A SOLUTION FOR THIS MESS

Draft and free agency should focus on addressing the soft image. Need physical guards... need a physical power back... need a run stuffing dt. Sure there are other needs, but lets start by turning 2nd and goal from the 1 into a foregone conclusion instead a 50/50 proposition.

We also need to give Jaylen Wright more touches…. I love Achane as much as the next guy, but he’s a scat back who CANNOT be your lead back if you want to have the reputation of a physical attack.

Achane’s ideal role, IMO, is getting around 10 rushes a game while being your team’s third or fourth leading receiver.

This team was built to win home games in September and October, not bully teams in December and January.
Achane is really impressive
He’s given nothing behind that line but that little guy fights, scratches and claws for every single inch every single down. Hes more physical than the Olinemen
He’s a keeper. It’s inspiring watching himself kill himself for the few yards he’s gaining on the ground

You guys are crazy, he's only worked under is daddy and wasn't even the defense coordinator, Mayo was. He couldn't even get and NFL job after Bill left and Mayo didn't even retain him. He went on to be a coordinator in college at U of Washington who is 6-5 after being in the National Championship last year and you want to make him an NFL head coach?

Boston media used to constantly make fun of him cause he was considered awkward and werid and make the dumbest faces on the sidelines with his mullet.
To be fair, the Huskies team lost their head coach to Alabama. Lost most of their recruiting class when he bugged out. Have 20 out of 22 starter no longer with the team.

1. The team needs to start hitting on a much higher percentage of its draft picks. Right now, the percentage of hits is much too low and the needed depth in this league is just not there. It forces the team to overly rely on free agent signings and that's just not how you build a team in this league.

2. Too one-dimensional regarding personnel offensively speaking. Everything is about speed and finesse. The WR room is full of mighty mites who can run fast, but sometimes you need guys who can highpoint the ball and are physical enough to win those 50/50 balls. The RB room is much the same. Smaller guys who are fast as lightning. It's great when they break off a big one, but you need a bruiser back there at times to soften up the defense, and most importantly, convert the 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1. Ingold is a solid FB, but he's not a guy you hand the ball to at least 10 or 15 times a game.
this is why I will always be Ronnie Brown and Ricky fan not to mention my my main man Keith Byars

Trade everyone start from the beginning and build from the trenches and get a tough coach to instill a tough football team. Same excuse every year we never played good against physically tough teams

OL is a top problem, but I'd start with Mcd. He's the one who built a soft team, spending excessively on small WR to the detriment of everything else, skipping practices, weekly days off for vets, thinking quick release will negate all weaknesses, . . . Miami needs a Campbell-like HC
Well he was our coach for a short period lol but yes we need a tough football coach.

Keep Campbell and Seiler and change out all the other guys.

I like 5 but he doesn’t like making contact.

I’d rather have guys who like to hit than guys who make an INT every once in a while.

In addition to needing a coach like Campbell, we need a GM like Brad Holmes.

Maybe you should watch the games before you comment in a thread. Wright is way less physical or likely to gain as many yards as Achane. Mostert is the most physical back we have. But Achane is going to get the tough yards too. He just does it in a different way. But he doesn’t go backwards as much as Wright. Scat back. What a $hit take.

This is an easier fix than most imagine. I am not lying. This team needs an oline. A good one. This scheme
coupled with Tua's quick release is making a shitty oline seem decent. We need better talent. Drafted and signed immediately and constantly like good teams do.

This team's offense has shown the ability to be great when Tua has time to throw. The defense needs help but the offense can carry this team, it just cant do so against teams with a good pass rush.

Defense is str8 ass though.

How do you afford a good oline with a top 5 paid QB and 2 of the top 7 paid WRs? This was the Dolphins' "all in" year cap before the big cap hits from the Tua, Tyreek, Waddle, and Ramsey extensions. Everyone gets much more expensive from here on...

2024 cap hits - Tua ($9.5M), Tyreek ($18.2M), Waddle ($9M), Ramsey ($8M)

2025 cap hits - Tua ($39.4M), Tyreek ($31.1M), Waddle ($19.9M), Ramsey ($17.6M)

2026 cap hits - Tua ($56.4M), Tyreek ($55.2M), Waddle ($26M), Ramsey ($25M)

Tuff times ahead.

Looks like you caught feelings and thought I was going after Achane when I really wasn’t. Telling me to watch the games and calling my take ****, while calling Achane a more physical runner than Wright is laughable. I’m merely focusing on the simple fact that we need a more physical lead back. Achane has a role regardless and he’s great at it.

How much of Jaylen Wright did you watch before he got drafted by the Dolphins? Genuinely curious with such a “****” take.

Easy solution.

Zach Thomas and those early 2000s defense were regular choke artist come December. It is what it is we've been soft for decades. If I was making millions to play a game I'd be laughing all the way to the bank.

And what does Zach Thomas have in common with so many of our current players? He’s small. I don’t think it’s a toughness issue in Miami. It’s a size issue. Go back to the planet theory and stick with it. Good things will happen.
