THERE MUST BE A SOLUTION FOR THIS MESS

Maybe you should watch the games before you comment in a thread. Wright is way less physical or likely to gain as many yards as Achane. Mostert is the most physical back we have. But Achane is going to get the tough yards too. He just does it in a different way. But he doesn’t go backwards as much as Wright. Scat back. What a $hit take.

Looks like you caught feelings and thought I was going after Achane when I really wasn’t. Telling me to watch the games and calling my take ****, while calling Achane a more physical runner than Wright is laughable. I’m merely focusing on the simple fact that we need a more physical lead back. Achane has a role regardless and he’s great at it.

How much of Jaylen Wright did you watch before he got drafted by the Dolphins? Genuinely curious with such a “****” take.
Do you watch Achane, though?

He’s not a scat back at all. He runs well in between the tackles and has the veteran savvy already to get those extra 1-2-3 yard fall forward / between the tackles style of running.

Achane’s touches are not an issue. He needs to be featured as much as possible.

The solution is simple: invest in OL and then DL in that order. We may need a new GM first who actually believes in this philosophy, though.

Every running back listed above played at 200 pounds or bigger. Achane is 190 if we are being generous. I wouldn’t compare his running style to any of those guys either. All of those guys are more physical runners, IMO.

I mean, there’s really nothing to argue….. he’s the very definition of a “scat back” and that’s not a shot at him. He’s one of the best in football.

Even PFF listed him in that category pre-draft. Have seen Simon Clancy and Kyle Crabbs refer to him as such, too. According to @DOLFAN_51 that makes their opinion “****”

Has Achane played anything like Keaton Mitchel or Deuce Vaughn? That’s obviously an insult. They are scat backs. They got it wrong with Achane. Achane is no different than Gibbs IMO. It doesn’t matter what he weighs. It’s how he plays. You can’t say Devonta Smith is a slot WR because of his size. He’s been playing 80% on the boundary for his career.

#1 Never blame the owner unless he is GM too
#2 Never blow up the entire team, this is what angry fans do, then they hide for 3 years
#3 Draft for the Trenches, not some big name toy
#4 Replace the GM with a guy who understands the process, not a quick fix
#5 Draft team players that have a history of hard work and toughness
No on this one. We are in cap hell, not even purgatory. We need a total reset

While we have some burdensome contracts, and likely end up eating some dead money the next two years, we are not in cap hell.

If I'm not mistaken, you said the same thing last year.

Did you look at where we are relative to other teams? Cap hell is a relative term, and it can't be properly evaluated in a vacuum.

I ADMIT that I dont know as much about contracts and the business of sports especially pro sports but damn it guys there has to be a solution for fixing this team. but How can we do it ? can a owner undo any of this mess by firing a head coach even though he sign that coach to a extension ? I know one thing if I was a head coach and I saw three players laughing and one was a QB and two were receivers I would be pissed. .
here is a thought , what would the reaction be if Dan Marino or Bob Kuechenberg or Tony Nathan looked over at the bench and saw three of these players laughing ? would they be pissed off or if Zach and Bryan Cox saw guys giving up on players , how would they handle these players.
Players are different now. Of course it’s better to win but I think they make so much money they don’t really care if they lose.

Zach Thomas and those early 2000s defense were regular choke artist come December. It is what it is we've been soft for decades. If I was making millions to play a game I'd be laughing all the way to the bank.
Sad but true. You speak facts.

Since 1974.
The solution is wait till the NFL says it's time.
That's the only option any team has.

Yes, I said this last offseason. Look at what it led us to. We had to extend players like Hill and Ramsey to be able to get space this year, pushing bigger hits into the future. We even had to basically backl oad Tua's contract as well. This led to us not being able to keep people like Wilkins, Van Ginkle, Hunt, Elliot and Brandon Jones. It meant we had to bargain bin shop for defensive line (which, thankfully Campbell has turned out playing WAY above expectations) and safety. It meant sticking with sucky guards and not being able to upgrade those. It meant, and here's the big one, not upgrading backup QB. Now, next year, we are only 3 mil under, have only 37 players under contract. We literally have no guards, no defensive linemen (except Sieler) and no safeties under contract. We have no major space available by cutting players before June 1st. Oh, and we also have no capable backup QB.

Just comes down to character, we need better character players that won't fold when the going gets tough or in our case cold

OMG, more OL nonsense and "maybe" we should replace the HC. Here's my partial list of McDaniel sins and screw ups and please tell me anybody should be on the fence about firing him:

A total lack of preparedness by his team against good teams
His record vs Buffalo
Zero playoff wins
Failure to bring in or develop a competent backup QB
His putrid playcalling that leaves the offense with many second and longs and third and forget its
The penalties that never stop
Bad clock mgmt and wasting time outs
The delay of game penalties that happen bc he can't get a play in on time
Constant weekly ****ups by players like Julian Hill and Eichensuck that aren't addressed
Two players and a respected DC who have called his players soft

better discipline, really? How about any discipline

The McDaniel Country Club needs to be shut down

And…just out of curiosity…what are you going to do about it?

Hold up signs outside the stadium?

Write a strongly-worded letter to your Congress rep?

Stomp around in an angry little circle and shake your fist at clouds?
