and proved that Gus can do the job.

He rolled out to his right looking for McMichael, in the red zone, nobody was open and he threw it away. He didn't try to force it and get it picked!

That spoke volumes to me.

I remember that play. I was watching the game with a fellow finheaven..er and we both noted that. Feeley most likely forces that throw. Fiedler the same way. It was good to see Frerotte choose his battles and throw it away.

I made a thread last week called "The Difference with Frerotte" and noted just that. We can be a totally different team just by minimizing the INTs and eliminating the INTs returned for TDs. I mean just think for a second about how MANY INTs we had returned for TDs last year and how much that can demoralize a whole team, offense AND defense. You take that away and all of the sudden we're DOMINATING teams.

Also, I think that goal line stand kind of set the tone for the season. To me.

Yep -- I got on my computer and picked up our team defense for my fantasy league team right after that one....

I agree with that. But I was a bit upset at the Int. The reason was (at least it looked that was to me) that had he looked left at all, he would have seen Ronnie wide open for easy completion.

I think the reverse to Chambers is what set the tone and momentem for the rest of the game.

He was. I was yelling at the tv to go to Brown. Wide open in the flat. Oh well. Hopefully the coaches point it out to him and remind him not force passes but to make your reads first.

Glad it was not just me. I think they forgot that one of Ronnies big assest is his pass catching ability. I don't think Denver really covered him that much, concentrating more on Chambers, Booker, Walker, and Boston. OIh well It turned out ok in the end, and Ronnies one catch was very athletic.
