He has all the physical attributes you want in a QB, 6'4 224, good arm, athletic, ran a 4.5/40, he also scored a 34 on the wonderlic. But what I wanna know is does he have the "it" facotor? can he be a leader? can he command a lockerroom? when he walks into the lockeroom will the players look at him and see him as the team leader? can he command a huddle? can a take a franchise on his back and lead it? Chad Henne had all the physcial attributes you look for in a QB, he had good size and a great arm but he didn't have "it". I'm sure Mike Sherman answered all these questions for Philbin and Ireland. I have heard Tannehill has excellent practice habits and works his tail off, he also attended QB meetings while he was a WR. But these are these are the main qualities I will be looking for in Tannehill and if he can meets all those requirements and has "it", then those combinations of qualities and his physical attributes will equal success.

I think at this point the Dolphins are desperate for a leader like that, and I think that will help Tannehill assume the position. The fact that he was a 1st rd. pick and has a history with Sherman will also help command respect. If he wants it, he can take it. IMO. Excited to see what this kids got,,

So far he gets a failing grade. Texas A&M was projected to be in the top 10 before last season. 15 interceptions in senior year. Team lost 3 games when leading by double digits at halftime. Three 3 interceptions games against Oklahoma, OSU and Texas. Stats were over-inflated by 6 TD passes against Baylor (one of the worst pass defenses in all of college football).

Odds are Tannehill will have the "it" factor in the NFL, as long as you throw "sh" in front.

Hope I am wrong.

he also had the most drops in college football with over 70 and didnt have much help around him like weeden did with blackmon, he is still raw and we all know that so I'm not gonna judge him on those games, peyton manning could never beat florida but how did he turn out? vince young and matt leinart led their teams to national championships and shredded college football, but where are they now? so I'm not gonna go on a few blown leads and write the kid off, that would be reckless and foolish.

From what I've heard he has a better arm than just GOOD.

Hard worker, Smart player, can make the tough throws. Do I think he'll be a locker room vocal leader? no. BUT, i think some of the things he did as a WR and even as a QB displayed his toughness. He could be the type of guy who leads with tough, respectable play on the field, and a strong work ethic.

I think you can pin plenty on him, but how many other players from texas A&M were picked in round 1? How many will be picked today? There is a reason as well why Sherman is our OC and not our HC. You can't put it all on him, but at the same time I 100% agree that you'd like to have seen him really elevate the play of people around him, because he may need to do that here in all likelyhood

It's fun listening to all the crybabies who are mad we got Tannehill, who has about 100,000,000X greater chance to be a NFL Franchise QB than their favorite wannabe "fallback" Great Hope (PIPE DREAM) of a 7th rounder... russell wilson.

There. I just did it. Wave bye-bye to The Agenda for the foreseeable future, guys.
