No, the Dolphins’ decision-making troika will not be taking a victory lap after several of their offseason pickups helped mightily in Sunday’s opener against Tennessee.
But for a day, at least, most of the key additions made by Adam Gase, Mike Tannenbaum and Chris Grier made important contributions.
There was Albert Wilson jitterbugging all over the field, breaking tackles.
There was Danny Amendola finding seams in the Tennessee secondary.
And there was Frank Gore steamrolling through those holes, displaying a burst that belies his age (35).

Honestly, the biggest thing I am pleased with other than the win is the team came away injury free considering how crazy that game was. That was really impressive and fortunate at the same time. Meanwhile, the Titans on the other hand, not so much.

the Dolphins 2018 offseason was one of the best in their history. Not sure exactly what happened but I'm pretty sure it began with less Tannenbaum.

OL helped a lot. Titan's ineptitude help more.

Weird game = par for my yammie Dolphins football karma.

# 20 is an amazing athlete and... just WOW.

The rookie kid DB whatever looks like a fantastic football player!

The rookie TE "phenom" has a steeper arc to ascend than I had hoped.

That other rookie TE is closer to a finished NFL product (obviously tuffer and ready for the physical load).

DT will be less of a ??? than anticipated.

Bobby McCain is gonna be a-OK as long as soon as we have X shadow #1 WR (flip sides - don't matter)

Gase has gotta up his play call game and seriously needs to self scout already.

Burke needs to stay aggressive with some passive/aggressive sprinkled in. Mix it up baby!

Still waiting for perennial late bloomers like Harris and Parker (MIA) to show up and MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Thill will be what he is -- don't count on him to win games and make things happen when the pressure is ON.

We need to play with a lead. And keep it that way.

>>> another big game coming for #20!

Have Fun!

It was very important to start out the season with a victory, especially with the apparent expectations most have for this team in the first place. I know that they don’t particularly care about what the media has to say but with the division so far shaping up as it has after just a week, being undefeated is clutch.

This weekend‘s game is very important though because you’d be smart to assume that it is unlikely they will win in New England two weeks later so starting off 0-2 in the division isn’t great.

Especially given the Bills dumpster fire QB situation, which means we'll go 0-2 against 'em. God forbid they get squirrelly and call Thad Lewis.
