They sit Orton. Bring in Tebow. Whatever you think of Tebow, the Broncos are not doing him any favors when they let Lloyd go who was their leading WR. Now there two top receiving threats are Eric Decker and Daniel Fells, not exactly what you would call confidence builders. You could say that they are going to rely a rushing attack that is 25th in the NFL-that sounds like a plan.:rolleyes2: I think they are as much as guilty as we are, their fans are just not as vocal.

denver almost beat san diego and should have won, while san diego made miami look like a truckload of rag dolls

oh, and denver is not winless

well... getting rid Lloyd was mostly to get rid of distractions. Elway and Xanders are extremely committed the rebuilding. John Fox, the coach they hired, might not be. Elway and Xanders also want to see if Tebow can bring life to the offense. John Fox had no intentions of playing Tebow this year.

Llyod was also in the last year of his contract. I also think they beat us at home.

Elway was the next coming, even more decisively than PManning. Like the leverage Luck has, who has one more year of eligibility (and can take basketweaving or ballroom dancing classes instead of starting his MBA, despite all rationalizing otherwise), JE had the option (but not the payout) of playing for the KC Royals. Similar to Oliver Luck, Jack Elway who was a career college head coach and coached him at Stanford was not one of your run of the mill top draft choice dads with little opinion or reach that lacked traction.

You gotta know that Elway identifies with Luck in so many different ways even beyond both their statuses coming out of Stanford and will do whatever he can to both secure and then mentor him as "John Elway v.2.0" The essential give-away of Brandon Lloyd came as absolutely no surprise to me as I've been handicapping the Broncos as leaders in the Luck Derby even after their 1st win.

The Broncos aren't tanking, but rather seeing what they have in their young core. -Something this team should have done a long time ago instead of playing roulette with Henne starting and not giving our young guys a shot.

Please do enlighten me. I always thought Henne WAS our young guy?????

The only question even more pressing for Denver than why are they playing Tebow, is why the hell did they even draft him in the first place.

This kid is EXTREMELY inaccurate. He doesnt miss once in awhile by a little bit, he misses on 90% by tens of feet. Doesn't matter if he's standing or running, short pass or long. He is a REALLY bad passer.

Their best opportunity is utilize him as a Peyton Hillis type back and bring Luck in

Yes and No. Tebow doesn't need great receivers...he's going to run when his primary receiver's not open anyway so having a great receiving corp isn't going to help him. He's an unconventional QB, a big reason he couldn't finish the job against San Diego is because his first tendancy when everyone is covered is to run and you can see he really wanted to but knew that if he did time would just run out. He still has a long throwing motion and he's still fairly indecisive with the ball.

If Denver gets a lead though he'll be fine. He'll make plays with his legs and keep the chains moving...just don't ask him to win it in the end. I think Denver will win 3 or 4 more games with him. Considering the Giants paid essentially 2 1st rounders, 1 3rd and 1 5th rounder to trade up 3 spots to get Eli Manning from San Diego and one of those 1st was Phillip Rivers...it's going to cost Denver two arms and two legs to move up and get Luck from the 6th or 7th spot into the #1 spot.

kyle orton is not playing like he did last year. Benching him was the right move to win games.

And so was NOT trading a draft pick (especially not a 2nd or 3rd) and paying him Starter money, first smart thing Ross has done

Wide Receiver is a positions of depth and talent on the Broncos. As mentioned before, Eric Decker has really stepped up, not to mention Eddie Royal is underrated. But all of that aside, people forget that Tebow wasn't the Broncos first draft pick in 2009. Demaryius Thomas was, hes just been injured.
Brandon Lloyd was a journeyman wideout who excelled in a single system and was awful in others. The fact that they got draft picks for him, instead of just letting him walk next offseason, was a coup. Personally, i thought they should have traded him sooner, but what can ya do.

Denver can do alot of things well and should have a better record. Their pass rush has been great(Von Miller is tearing it up and hasn't gotten the attention he deserves) and Willis Mcgahee looks like a man reborn.
Also keep in mind, if Tebow struggles he will be pulled. This isn't Jacksonville or Minnesota. John Fox loves playing vets, loves Orton, and has only played Tebow grudgingly to see if he is worth the roster spot. The players on that team do not like Tebow. Had Fox gone with Tebow in camp, there would have been a mutiny according to some players. They resent the fact that Tebow has been soaking up the media attention and put Orton in this position(instead of being a humble rookie and letting the starting QB answer questions), and they resent the fact that while they were having player workouts during the lockout, Tebow was playing golf and hobnobbing with celebrities.

If Denver can get something from the passing game, then this team will be around the .500 mark. If Tebow can do it, so be it. If he can't, Orton will be thrown back in.

Not entirely true. The team does not hate Tebow. They love his attitude and his work ethic. He also has made the offense move while in the game. It was just becoming a toxic situation because despite Orton's superior preseason and training camp, he has struggled getting the offense to move.

It's the only choice Denver could make. The entire locker room wants Orton. In the NFL, you have to start the guy the players think they can win behind. They see. They watch film. They know what's working. "If they picked Tebow now," said a source within the team, "the coaching staff would totally lose the players."

The other way you know it's over is that Orton is talking to Tebow again. He didn't talk to him all last year. He told people it was because Tebow was a "rookie," but it was more than that. Tebow, ever gracious, kept talking with reporters every day. A lot of the players thought he should've stopped, in deference to the starter, Orton, who was getting scrums one-tenth the size.

These, of course, don't include quotes from Brandon Lloyd and others who were sick and tired of "the Tebow thing"(his words). My computer went down, so dont have access to other articles i have, but i recall one about players annoyed that Tebow wasn't practicing with the team during the lockout while Kyle was killing it.

dont know why tebow receives so much hate. Tebow must be doing something right to get all this hate.
